empire sniper: Pros and Cons

hey within the next day or so i'll be getting my empire sniper in the mail from i think the NJ warehouse from Empire so for all you empire sniper owners what are some pros and cons of this marker? i'll have to adapt to the AT feature since my current gun (trilogy pump) doesn't have that feature. also what is the air efficiency on a 13/30 tank with an output pressure at or around 600-650 psi?

Pro's: barrel kit, Auto trigger, Clamping Feed, On/off, Consistent

Con's: Hitman mod is awkward if you have big hands and hold gun by pump handle. Pump handle has VERY weird shape.

The gun really hasn't been in enough hands and used enough to get a solid opinion on it.

Check the reviews section. I posted a review about my experience with it. I encourage you to do the same once you've played with yours a while.

You should get at least 150 shots from a 13/3000.

Basically what he said.... When I get mine I am going to take my S6.5 spring and put in the empire to see how it is. Mine should be here within the week. I'll be able to compare it to my S6.5, J2L and my friend's CCMed Krusher Body.

Based on my World Cup experience, I think the main spring and/or the pump return spring is too stiff. Otherwise it is not bad feeling marker at all.

well for the AT should it trigger when the the bolt is about as closed as it would normally be but not fully closed since mine is triggering about the same distance short of speaking

The AT should be allowing the hammer to fire when the bolt is just about to close(1/16 of an inch won't hurt it).

If you try to set it too short, there's a good chance of the hammer jamming when you AT quickly. Some guns may let you get away with it, though.

remember that CCM's are set up for each other-meaning valve and mainspring, both are med/med light in weights, make for smooth cocking and decient on gas, Empire has heavy springs to help with effciency allowing valve open only for very brief period, main spring is HEAVY and valve is med if not heavier. front end much like a kingman spyder(valve and all)

teammate picked his up about a week ago, got to shoot and chrono last weekend,

pro's- 4 pc bore kit, AT, Clamp feed, auto-bleed bottom line, stock class tube included, price

con's- stiffer pump stroke, (but still smooth), pump handle shape, hitman mod standard( cant remove) .

3 backs and 1 front, same difference. You need to sweetspot the reg, or set it at whatever they reccomend, then adjust through the ivg.

I really like it, for the price it was well worth it. I recently sold my S6.5 but the sniper is very close imo. i like the ability to fine tune it, I backed my IVG out almost all the way to decrease spring tension and tweaked the hammer lug a bit. got the stroke short and crisp and with lighter pull. Almost identical to how my CCM's have been except empire is much more efficient. Its also very balanced and comes stacked with features for its price.

Simply having a better feedneck, better barrel, better asa, better reg and a bolt with orings makes me lean slightly more towards empire over CCM. However Id buy another S6.5 in a heartbeat simply bc they are much sexier

I have had my Empire Sniper for a week & I must say I think its a great pump. I like the hitman mod & the pump stroke. I dont have anything bad to say about it. I have put my CCM up for sale after playing with the E.S.

You like a heavier pump stroke? Because it is nowhere near as light as a marker from CCM's pump stroke.

Or you could just live with it for the price difference you paid. Because if you put a different ASA, and possibly reg on a CCM I think it's the best pump ever made.

Check out the videos of the empire sniper auto-triggering. Then check out the videos of a CCM auto-triggering. There is a noticeable and significant difference.

here's the catch though... Empire Sniper is not a CCM. I'd say its similar to a standard WGP sniper, stock springs.
