****ing sick, I just came out swinging with a 45 min set, went from 100-175bpm, people loved it and were begging for me to get back on when the 2nd opener got on
3lau's set was fun but pretty 1 dimensional

he was kind of an *** when I first met him but I chalked it up to him being stressed about his co2 gun not working. he was pretty chill and fun to talk music/shows with after my set. can definitely tell he doesnt really know much about production though

My Aiwa AV-D67 has pretty much died.
I need a new receiver for my big Technics but I'm on a budget. Something that pumps good bass is a plus.
Any ideas?
edit. prob gonna bring it to best buy and see if they can repair it.
edit2. edc orlando lineup sucks ***.

One of my old tracks randomly got a ton of views in the last two weeks. Haven't logged into my soundcloud in a month; boy what a surprise to log into. Is there anyway to find out where all the plays are coming from? I'm thinking it got blogged somewhere or something...Plays this week are up 14000% lol.
Also, found this little gem:

Noob question:
Trying to remix Jay Z's 99 Problems instrumental for a friend (never really done anything like this). As a starting point, I'm going to layer my own midi kick drum over top.
Some research showed that the instrumental is 94 BPM.
When I import the mp3 into ableton, the segment bpm is 123.32 and it changes Live's BPM to 123.32 bpm as well. If I change lives BPM to 94 before OR after dragging/dropping the mp3, the clip will be slowed down. Because of this, I'm just leaving it all at 123.32 bpm.
Now I can't get a 4 bar loop. Even when I set the first beat as 1.1.1 and then 'warp from here', the beat starts over at like the 3.3.1 bar, and then again at another obscure beat, and so forth.
Suggestions?

warp from here at the first part and manually warp it in to hit the beat, stuff like that is retarded to do sometimes

So I've been looking into getting some new equipment. I have the Numark NS7 but it's too big for my current living situation so I'm looking to get something smaller and somewhat affordable.
I've been looking at the Traktor Kontrol S2. Any experience with it? Or other recommendations?

I'd definitely like the S4 but I'm not sure I can condone the $400 price jump. Decisions decisions...
