Waxing my snowboard and my friends snowboard

Playing around with the gopro and the rest is on a t2i. It's my first try at a time lapse like this, the lighting is pretty crappy but I think it turned out somewhat how I was thinking it would

Yes, but smoothcam was out a long time before warp stabilizer. Warp stabilizer is more advanced and effective, but smoothcam doesn't do a horrible job. It all depends on the shot that it's applied to.

This might be a silly question but I have yet to find a definite answer. Does the IS on a SLR lens apply only to still images? This is my understanding, but I just wanted to be sure before I buy a new lens.

Nope. IS will run in video modes as well. If you have a lens with IS and listen to the sound that the camera captures, you will hear it running.

IS = amazing for video when shooting with a telephoto lens. they don't really make any wide angle IS lenses, maybe the 24-105 IS @ 24mm, but when hand holding stuff at 200 or 300mm, it definitely helps.

Yea I really wish I had IS, maybe over the summer after I graduate and have a real jerb I'll be able to afford one. One of my friends just got a 70-200 2.8L IS for 1250 off craigslist and it's in mint condition.

grab one for cheap at a local camera store down there. it's nice to have two chargers anyways. plus you can sell it later on.
