i have to correct my original statement, it shoots at 300 fps at 2k resolution. at that point, i don't think there's a need to create new frames, that's quite a fast frame rate.

I'm planning on building a shoulder rig for my T2i before TX. I have seen a few DIY designs floating around but I haven't settled with any yet. Any of you guys have suggestions?

First episode of many for the Cyru Series. Aaron and Nicky, the Ormrod Twins from Portland Uprising traveling down to Sacramento to try out for a new team for another league. 12 hours in a car, driving through the night in snowy conditions, just a fraction of the dedication these two have devoted to the sport of paintball.

The series will follow Portland Uprising and friends through out the 2012 paintball season, capturing the good times and the bad. Hope you enjoy.

I just got the camera and a 50mm f/1.8, price range I'd say under $500

also depends on your plans.. if you're going to be shooting paintball, a zoom is a must, is is recommended. if you're shooting parkour, then maybe a wide angle

I was just looking at the tamron 18-200mm and the canon 18-135mm, anyone know anything about them/used one or the other?

i've used both for video.. and again, completely depends on what you're planning to shoot.

i wouldn't recommend either for paintball (i'll assume you shoot paintball since you're on pbnation.) if you can invest in a 70-200 4 L, i'd go with that. another option is the 70-300. both are good for video. the 70-200 is definitely an awesome lens. i've owned 4 of them since i got my first one.

Get a used 70-200 f/4L. They usually go for around $500. Most photographers baby their gear. I almost never buy lenses or bodies new.

Check out POTN classifieds if you haven't already. There is a 70-200 on the front page right now that sold for $400.

Looks pretty strong

There's a lot of stuff in there that I could see being in larger budget commercials. Some of it looks like it could be stock footage.

How long have you been making videos? All HDSLR footage?
