Haven't been to a good pack in search of beer in several. Weeks. Trying to get established here in Boston before I start spending a bunch of dough on beer.
Gotta say though, the bars here almost all have awesome beer. Drank maudite and riesdorf kolsch, tonight I had Sam Adams red brick, green flash Ipa and goose island summer kolsch.
God I ****in love this town.

did you send any love my way? I'm currently pretty ****ed when it comes to storage space though... I even told one person not to fill up the shipper for the return leg but they did it anyway, not that I'm complaining...
doing a side by side of Lost Abbey Mo' Betta Bretta to New Belgium's Brett Beer. Both collaborated but one was done at Lost Abbey and then New Belgium did it back in Fort Collins. Should be interesting. Mo Betta was up first and it tasted pretty good. it's currently more of a belgian pale ale instead of a wild ale as the brett is quite subdued and almost isn't there so it needs some time do develop.
EDIT: NB Brett Beer is close but not an exact copy but it also needs some time for the brett to work.

Jockamo was not a bad IPA. Doesn't hold a flame to Long Hammer, but better than several.
Fat tire has NO smell and is probably the mildest tasting beer I've ever tasted?????? Hoping I got a bad batch.

eh, I just prioritize what gets thrown into the fridge... brett beers and IPAs have priority since I don't want the brett to run wild at the higher temps(75*) I keep my house or the hops to fade. I used to keep my house at 70 and then I had a couple energy bills pushing $250. just moved some great divide 18th anniversary ahead of the pack after making some space. hopefully nothing good comes out for the next months because I'm at least two cases over capacity for cold storage. I hate drinking the night before I work out as well but I just don't have a choice right now.
fat tire is an extremely inoffensive amber ale that should taste extremely malty and almost no hop flavor. most people say it tastes quite biscuity.

I didn't like the Jockamo at all, probably my least favorite IPA I've ever had :/ The Oak aged IPA from great divide, rumble I think it was, is up there on that list too sadly.
Had maharaja off tap the other night. Stuff is great in the bottle, but off tap, hooooo boy was it delicious

rumble isn't bad but it's more bitter hoppy than flavorful hoppy.

Agree on all points. Southern tier has an amazing array of Ipas. Capping off with oak aged unearthly. It's no easy task balancing hop flavor with barrel aging in a beer.

Going to spend tomorrow afternoon brewing some beer with a friend of mine, then we're going to a local brewfest on Saturday. Pretty stellar start to the weekend.

drinking a year old Bitter Monk, kinda disappointing but not bad. no hop flavor but the bitterness remains and the brett is more pronounced, fairly dry as well.

drinking some tart lychee, and btw New Belgium apparently royally ****ed up when they made Brett beer. they refermented on brett and then filtered and pasteurized the beer like they do with all of the lips of faith beers so it will not get more bretty with time. that's why it was priced where it was and to make things better they also threw out a lot of it because they weren't happy with a couple batches so they marked down what they had at a low price to make it move and not leave people pissed.
EDIT: I need to find a pair of socks so my DD can take me to dinner but I don't want to get off the couch. tart lychee is like drinking pie, not very sour and the cinnamon and fruit dominate but it's too drinkable at 7.5% ABV
