don't get me wrong-there's plenty of progress in a lot of the older member's work. fain your stuff is 10x better than it was when i first started posting.
the interesting thing about this forum is it has encapsulated a history of a few very good photographers and one can learn a lot by learning from their progress. if you go back and look at old wdys or any of jimmy's or sergio's work from their early years you can see a complete progression from decent to artfulness; combined with the critique some members offer makes this small corner of the web a great place for developing talent.
we can see this same progression in newer members like myself and jeff
but there was a time when there were more quality photographers posting regularly rather than newbies. just my opinion
on the subject of critiques: yeah more criticism for regulars (myself not in that bracket but I feel as if I can comment on it) would be great.
i dont post because i never get on anymore and all of my shooting these days is really personal stuff that i don't have the need/desire to show. hell half of it is sitting in my desk drawer unprocessed.
What would I want? Sky!
