IMHO It should be SOOC. That way a person's actual camera skills are more in play than their photoshop skills.

I think editing is allowed. Its about the creation of the photograph, and your editing helps define the message you want to send.

What Dan2 said, the editing and processing put into these pictures (especially holiday themed ones) is half the battle/fun. Obviously I'll take composition and what-not into account but a shot sooc might night necessarily portray the same effect as the same picture with a certain processing.

yeah thats my name.

it wasnt even that so much. basically i was being a smartass because i see alot of one specific look to photos and taylin is included in that group. i mean no offense to him, he is talented, its just not my personal aesthetic. with my background and interest in journalism and the years that i only shot film, im in the less is more camp when it comes to editing, but i have no problem with people editing their photos, i see it as a creative outlet just like classic photography is. its art, do what you want and how you want

I started on a black & white album for NJO back in...September and didn't continue working on it or publish it until now. After not seeing these for a few months I am really liking them.

I barely touch my photos anymore unless it's a b&w or I wanna try something crazy. Like you said, less is more.
