Matter of opinion really. But true kipping (not butterfly) pullups, are fueled by hip drive. You know what else is fueled by hip drive? Oly lifts. I'm not saying that you should go out and do kipping pull ups so you can clean 200 kilos. but if you do pull ups in your routine, doing kipping will helpyour oly lifts. Might not be much, but every little bit counts.

ETA- accessory is probably more appropriate than supplemental.

you show me a single legitimate competitive olympic coach (ie broz, rippetoe, moser, pendlay, etc) who programs kipping pullups and I'll concede you have any semblance of a leg to stand on here.

I'm sure using strong hip drive while ****ing fat chicks would be as useful, but I don't see that in my WOD.

just fyi, I'm just being my normal sarcastic self, don't take this as an insult or coming at you. I don't want an e-fight on my hands lol.

Who says I don't? But why limit yourself to just one accessory exercise? I want my numbers to jump higher each week, and I'm not going to limit my exercises based on what people think about them. Anyone at the gym is more than welcome to make fun of me or say that it's dumb. Doesn't bother me cuz I'm crushing most of their numbers anyway.
