Here is the next group of teams invited to play in the VALKEN CUP for $50,000 IN CASH AND PRIZES!
The 2013 Valken Cup is a 3-format event consisting of Speedball, Woodsball and pump style paintball and will be held at Camp Pendleton Paintball Park in sunny California this September. MASTER BLASTERS – This New England based team has been around since the 1980’s and is like a wrecking ball when it comes to playing in the woods. Their domination in the UWL the past several years speaks for itself. Don’t let the players “experience” fool you - this travelling road show led by original team-member, Kevin Donaldson, is coast-to-coast hard core.
LA HITMEN –Founded in 2005 by Sonny Lopez, boasts a wide variety of technically-proficient players who have banded together as prominent force that champion ideals of teamwork, technical skill, athleticism and sportsmanship. Roll all that up in to one and you get a team that continually plays and has been crowned Champs in such leagues as the UWL, WCPPL, NPPL, OSC Pump Series, NSA Series and many, many more.
DESERT EDGE – Based in Utah, this competitive Woodsball team led by the Saunders brothers, has humble beginnings playing in the UT mountains with pistols and 10 round tubes. Since starting in the mid 80’s, they have grown in to a well-respected UWL team. Desert Edge has recently branched out and competed in the NPPL circuit as well. Their domination, dedication and insight to the sport have been recognized and are well respected.
DIRTBAGS – This Nor-Cal team is playing in everything that they can - with pumps – and winning! We hear that they don’t own semi-auto’s and will play in all 3 Valken Cup formats with pumps. These guys are so old-school, they don’t even have a logo - just camo t shirts and the word “DIRTBAGS” on a headband. Some say that less is more.
PHILADELPHIA ENERGY – Is a newly formed professional paintball team. With former San Diego Dynasty player Ian Trainer and long- time, experienced pro Bear Degidio now on board, the team was formulated to create a home for the youngest and hottest talent in the game. Also picking up players from Dynasty 2, South Africa, and Los Angeles, Philly Energy is the youngest professional paintball team in the game! Look for them at NPPL, UWL, Decay Of Nations, IBPS, CPP and Millennium series events this year..
