Valhalla Viking

So I got this gun out of pure curiosity to see what the hype is all about but now i want it tuned right before I make my decision,so before I get rid of this thing I'd like to give it a chance to impress me. Here's what the gun has right now...

FBM hooker feedneck, ACiD Custom carbon fiber Trigger, Stock AKA Quad detents, DC custom Volumiser, SCM III, RobTown Valve, Frenzy Frame, Ego 8 Tadao Yakuza OLED Board, SST Regulator

If you have any board and lpr settings to make my gun shoot smooth and quiet, please post them up so I can try them out. Thank you

I have the exact same set up, and am looking to fine tune also. It was very loud when I played last time. I have to figure out what was going on. Also, I had first shot drop off.

I shot about a case through it and it actually got quiet but I know it could be quieter and smoother. What dwell do you guys recommend with the ego 8 board? also what bip and bolt delay setting do you use?

Change to the stock valve and hammer. That will change the sound signature.

I think I will try that, right now the RobTown valve is in there so I'm assuming the stock one will quiet the gun but give up efficiency?

not sure, with the rt mine was quiet, and you couldn't feel the gun really even cycling.

maybe that's what i need to do. id say i have about half a case if that through it. even if stays loud which really is not that bad. i rather keep what's going to give the best per shot. had it set around 280 and it was not sucking up the air. i could have gone quite a few more games before airing up.

You don't set the LPR without the tool. It's very, very sensitive. Email Jared at DC and see how long it will take to get a tune-up.
Or PM his lackey, fsrxc1, he's more active here on pbnation than Jared is.

Ok so do I put the gauge in the back of the gun or next to the lpr on the front?

It's the back left tube. If you have an 04, it doesn't need the front o-ring. Ther'es basically a plug you'll remove with either the aka 3 prong tool, or you can use rounded jewlers pliars, or crossed allen wrenches.

Lube the hell out of the o-rings as you put the gauge in though, it's easy to get them caught in the threads if you're not paying attention (although not as bad as putting in a LPR).
Set it at 72 psi and fire and see if there is any creep. Shouldn't be, since the valhallas are new and should have the scm3 internals.

Ok update I set the lpr to 72 but the gun won't shoot over 260 and I feel like the bottom reg screw is going to fall out.
How can I in crease the fps without messing with the lpr? The board settings are all stock. Dwell is at 11

Is there any way to check the output on the reg, It sounds like the sidewinder's not working right. if you're comfortable taking it apart, check the brass disk on the bottom, and make sure it's still flat. If you've been adjusting it through the entire range, it might have gotten bent.

I will try that today I'm playing with it for the first time tomorrow at SC so I hope it doesn't let me down
