"midget" mini
Ok.......sent a body to Jordan at martinpaintball.com for him to do his magic.,..
I had him do his mini conversion and I had him mill about an inch off the bottom lower tube so the lower tube is almost even with the back of the grip frame
Here is a before as well as a progress picture (before he cut the full lenght body down to a mini lenght).
From what I understand that cut was made and it is on its way to polishing and anodizing..........
After the last cut I was told that the body now weighs in at .39 lb

wow, nice work. I do like how you took that little bit off the bottom tube. A+ work Jordan. Now if only I had the balls to send my works to him to get that done up. Im afraid to hurt that pretty of a gun (from my view of course) =)

are you going to have to cut your hammer spring? I would think this would have adverse effects since there won't be much room for the IVG and spring.

Oh my god, that poor lovely body
Now the backblock is still slapping in your face andyou can't use standard springs anymore. If that was a good thought ?

He cut some of the back off from the bottom tube. I think the picture just shows it lying back, but it won't actually extend that far back, I think. Hes not going to need any special springs or need to cut them. It might actually be better because most hammer springs are shorter and you need to screw the IVG in further to get the velocity you need.
And just a thought, its not really a midget mini. Its kinda just a midget... since its not a mini body

My guess is that it actually does go back that far, but the back of the bolt still won't go past the end of a full length cocker body. Basically you could put this thing practically right in your face and you'd still be fine.
I also believe, by chopping off the back end, the spring will be too long and he will have to chop them down. It actually makes me wonder if an Osiris will fit in a midget. Can you imagine how frickin' small and light a mini-midget would be?!

Pbshooters is a field. I think he had it with him in his bag-o-fun to show people what he can do. Although it could have been a different bod, turned out great though.

ok........well it is a full lenght body in the picture .........but it also says that picture was taken before he shortened the front to mini lenght,,....
as for springing it.....I figure I will need to use a cut hammer spring ...........not a big deal at all...........especially when using a rocket valve.................
as someone else said........mag racer's have the lower tube cut like that and it's not a problenm with their markers........why would this be different.......
no, the bolt will not hit you in the face........
again.......I will post complete pictures as soon as I get it back....
get a mag racer body you ask?........do you know how much they want for them...?.....I do........no thanks........I'll pass...I am happy doing what I am doing.....thanks anyway
Drewba13...I see....yeah it might just have been my body....glad it looks good in person........

I wasnt saying for you to get one, and yea i know they are quite a chunk of change, but they are worth it. I was giving that option to others who might not have known about them. Personally i think yours is nice and i give ya props for being original, no need to get sarcastic.

just use a spring that is lighter than what you would normally use.... screw the ivg in and wouldnt it have the same effect as using the old spring that was in when it was full length? the ivg adds pressure when screwed in so use a light spring and screw it in farther for the same effect and shorter distance....

Yes, but some people like myself use a Yellow Nelson spring, which is pretty damn close to the lightest you can get.
