Yea I am getting just under 1800, with similar settings, Give your gun time to break in the orings, if you changed all of your orings in your gun, they still need to wear in a bit, do a test again over the next couple weeks.

I am at 18, which is actually a little high from what I have read, if you can lower your dwell and keep your constancy do so until you lose the constancy over the chrono then go back up one, if your looking to get the most efficient set up, the lower the dwell the better

Negative rubber ducky... the all reg allows you to shoot further into your tank before noticing any appreciable shoot down. With a stock tank reg as soon as your tank pressure reaches 900 ( or roughly that pressure) its output pressure drops with each shot this resulting in lower velocity with each shot. And the regulators in ability to quickly recharge..

Based on what?

The reg on the tank regulates the max pressure going to your reg. With a 900 psi reg once you get under that you are still getting what ever pressure the tank had left.

Punkworks even tested it and found no benefit and shooting further into your tank was a myth. Ninia reps even stated they didn't see a benefit for a DM in the threads.

I'll take actual results over hearsay

Dave at flasc figured the test didn't show the shootdown effect of a higher bps so he tested it himself and actually found the SLP was having more shootdown issues below 800 psi and ended up not recomending it for a 200 psi mini based TM

Linky no worky..

hmm.. thinking about it more, it would have to depend on the marker regulator. I have seen in some marker regulators when the upstream pressure (pressure coming from the tank regulator) changes, then the downstream pressure (pressure provided by the marker regulator) changed as well.. which would cause issues I described.

Now as for the SLP reg having shootdown issues when there is less than 900 psi... not sure as I have not personally tested that.. well perhaps there was too little difference between the supplied pressure of the slp reg and the markers regulated pressure causing a bottleneck.. in that particular instance. Was it ever tested in a marker that operates off 100-130 psi? or just the tm15?

Either way, we have deviated from the topic.. I would definitely say fine tune dwell.. and the barrel trick (or perhaps underboring)

I actually got worst results with the newer style ring with my DM8.

I PM'd Lurker about getting the older style one and still haven't heard back.

Why would you polish the tophat? The tophat is static and has nothing on its ID walls that seals anywhere. The section of the bolt that's movin within the tophats sealing o-ring is the only part moving there. Wouldn't you want to polish the ID of the backcap before you polish the ID of the tophat?

I do believe that he was referring to the OD of the top hat where the eigenring operates.

just follow the tuning guide on the lurker page. Each DM is a little different. Tuning by the guide will get yours to the best possible from yours

alright, only thing i had a question about is is running the lowest dwell possible always the best for smoothness? I know its better for efficiency but i had the impression high dwell was smoother but no as good efficiency, can anyone clear this up??

Same question I had asked and also detailed on my settings to ensure I can put some level of trial to ensure his product sees the best light and informs / helps all...

I am 16 myself so I wonder if I should or could go lower without issues as suggested. (since I am a new DM owner)
