It's not too bad but it is decently heavy, I was getting that it just doesn't feel right in your hands, it could just be me but I reccomend going to your pro shop and seeing it before buying..

I played with one today and it felt fine. It felt a bit lighter than an Etek 3 but much more compact.
The gun shot really well and very fast. I didn't notice any kick but felt a fair bit of vibration. In the game it didn't bother me atall. Shot plenty of people with it so all was good
I had already pre-ordered one and playing with it today confirmed that I had made the right choice.

Can't win them all and rightly so. Everyone has their own preferences. BUT at sub $400 price point you cant complain. I truly think its a step in the right direction to reach out to the entry level and budget baller market with such a quality product.
Remember the price of the ION on release. You paid all that for a box full of problems. At least I did.

The grips are a little slab sided, and the reach from the back strap of the frame to the trigger is a bit longer - about a 1/4", but having weighed the Etha and my Geo side by side, the Etha is only two ounces heavier. Come to think of it, it's probably more like an ounce, as I took the battery out of my Geo, just in case it leaked (hate alkalines.....).
This small difference in weight is despite the Shaft4 barrel being a bit longer than the Shaft3, and despite the Ethas body being a bit longer than that of the Geo. With that in mind, a one ounce difference really isn't worth mentioning. In fact, even without any qualifications to explain the difference, one ounce really isn't much of anything anyway.
I have to admit though, the Etha does feel heavier in the hand than the Geo, which I guess is down weight distribution. Fact is though, that the Etha weighs just two pounds - less than a kilo. While there are certainly lighter markers out there, that's still very light.

Maybe it is because I started playing paintball with VM68s, which weighed conservatively 10+ pounds when loaded up, but I feel like the ETHA is an excellent weight! Y'all start doing some pushups or something!!
seriously though, the balance of the gun is really nice...and as Uziel says, there is negligible difference between an ETHA and a GEO. if that is a brick to you then I'll bet you really hated Smart Parts stuff through the years! lol

I held it and liked it didn't get to shoot it though! I play with a geo 2 and ego 11 and the etha felt alot better in my hands than most guns at that similar price level

I held it. It certainly didn't feel like "trash". I'm not a fan of the grips but overall I like what PE has done with the marker. Especially when you consider the price point. There's really nothing that comes close to the total package (sum of all parts) that the Etha offers (case, spares, performance, barrel, manual, ergonomics, etc) in that price range.

I hope your not serious, even an older marker like a 2 + pound bob long gun isn't a "brick". If its to heavy start working out. Jeez.

I picked mine up today from the good boys at Lips paintball in the UK and I'm over the moon with it. Feels really solid in the hand. But not heavy. Hats off to to Planet Eclipse for making a gun that's cheap to buy but is so high quality. A rare thing now a days.
