Homemade Stick Feed

I was mindlessly browsing YouTube the other day, when I stumbled across a video review of a superbolt cocker, and the guy briefly showed a stick feed he made out of PVC pipe. In the video, he said it was 2 inch PVC, which would be ridiculously huge. So, after playing around with it, I discovered it was 3/4 inch. I understand how he put the PVC on the gun (the 90* adaptor fits over the threads and the o-ring makes it snug), but I have no idea how he made the part where you put a 10 round tube in. I thought he might have used the flared end of a piece of conduit, but you can't tell from the video... Also, how would one keep the paintballs from falling out the back of the tube?

I can't link to the video, cuz I can't get to the URL on my iPod. However, the guy's YouTube username is nicknack171 and you can find the video by typing in "superbolt autococker."

Thanks guys

You can get a plastic pipe cap from a hardware store to go over the pvc pipe and then cut a hole in the middle of the cap for the 10 round tube to slide into. If you need a picture, I can post one up later.

Does this method have a ball retainer of some sort or does it rely on the ten round tube?

If you can post pics, that would be great, too.

you could take a piece of rigid plastic and fold it over and affix it in the opening of the PVC pipe. the guy in the video appeard to just have a coupler on the end and maybe some ghetto rigged ball retainer. did you message him?

im talking real simple here; when you put the 10 rd in the flap pushes down, then springs back up when you take it out, if you slap a coupler on the end that could hold your plastic piece..

a phantom stock class feed gate should slip right on.

Thanks for all the help guys! I just came up with a design that mixes a few different ideas. I took a lid from a butter tub and cut out a "speed feed" that resembles a virtue crown (on a much smaller scale, of course). Then, after sticking a 45* fitting on the back end of the tube, I placed the "speed feed" into the back of the fitting, and secured it with a tiny segment of PVC. Once I get it all together, I'll post pics right here.

Well... The butter lid ball trap failed. Turns out the plastic had to be cut too thin to fit. It just broke from the stress. However, the one thing that has never failed me can be applied to this project as well. I made the same shape (feed gate) out of duct tape, and it was strong, yet flexible enough to work. I have all of the fittings I needed and all I have left is a bit of cutting and some work with a dremel tool. Like I said before, I'll post pics of the completed result.

Thats... Brilliant! I had been trying to make a shape like a circle that would ring the inside of the fitting. It was like that picture, but in a circle all the way around the inside. Thanks for the idea. I'm putting this together today, and I'll play around with this idea once it's set up.

In the end, I used my own duct tape design. However, I also used a 45* fitting for the back end to make reloading easier. Pictures will be up today

Pics, as promised.

That last one shows what I used for a ball retainer. First, I put in a small section of pvc into the connector. Next I placed in the duct tape put a slightly tapered piece of pvc on top of it. The top piece can come out if you pull a bit, but the bottom one in permanently attached.
