Sticky please. This thread helped me place my order for Viton, Quad, and HNBR o-rings.

Thanks for the sticky. I have made a bunch more edits to try and get it as informative and clean as possible.

great thread!! just one question is it correct regarding the clone? I have a team mates clone rebuilding it. The power tube back oring says 12 a 12 don't seat on this tube. The one that came off was a thin ring like a 1MM also on the spacer manual says a 17x1 but a 17x1 on this spacer is well below the ridges on the groove a 17 fits better but i have a small leak coming out with any of these on.

Is this a Clone or Clone VX? How are you verifying it is an actual 012 and 17x1?

Standard Clone with the V2 keg, are you referring to the new ones? If so i have probably 50/60 of each size i need in separate containers. On the power tube the 12 fits on it but it doesn't fit the groove, the groove on theres is very narrow. When you put the power tube back in it does go all the way into the back of the keg and when you screw the power tube cap on it gets very hard to tighten it up in the end, then when you put the DT back in the endcap is not fully flushed as before are like it should. The one that came off in that spot was a 11x1 it didn't leak with it but if i put a 12x1 or 12 it leaks air very quietly.

The images are straight out of the manual for a regular clone (v1) and a clone vx. I do not know if the v2 valve keg takes the same orings as the original. That could be the problem. I do not own a regular clone either to check for you. Hopefully someone who has one can chime in.

should i consider using dow 55 on my borg? i've heard a few who use it get great results in lowered operating pressure. if so, what's the best brand of dow55?

Dow55 is not recommended unless the gun was designed for it. Bob Long guns are designed to use Dow55. The reason is the Dow55 swells the orings slightly. In a macdev gun they can swell and cause bolt stick and other problems. Stick to Dow33 or a Dow33 based lube.

reason i'm asking is like all the ram orings i have are mostly too loose and a few too tight. i have one right now that leaks at really low pressure but seals when it reaches near full cycle cocking pressure. i'm assuming use a loose fitting oring with 55. reading thru the threads to help me fix my gat, i read one guy using dow55 on his 07 was running like 190hpr and 40lpr to achieve 290fps or something and another with an rx running hpr 170 and lpr flush for the same velocity. a few others posted sucess with it.

I also have found under a search that the valve orings should be front to back 17X1 - 17x1 - 15x1

and the spacer orings are both 17 not a 17x1 outer.

yes, from what i have found in other threads regarding the mis-printed manual hopefully James will chime in and confirm. Thanks

Only other thing i have seen is the valve keg wasn't all 020, but i do believe thats in correct, they were all 020 on the one i took apart, plus several others have mentioned in the forum that they are all 020
