He has stated before that the 2012 Indy is not at the top of his list of things to do. I'm pretty sure that the Invasion is the only stacked-tube poppit we will be seeing in 2012 considering the current date.

I know of a couple things "in the works" but I have no idea what he plans to produce next. I'm double crossing my fingers and praying to every deity in existence for it to be the spool he has mentioned a couple times. <3

Now that the market has some spoolers that are efficient, they seem to be a more popular choice than they ever were in the past.

^ Agreed, and I have a couple of very cool improvements that I think will keep up the Alien brand as innovation not just duplication.
However I will be keeping the double stacked as well. It will still be, as far as I can see, a little better on efficiency, lower maintenance and easier to clean in case of paint breakage.
Yes, guns break very little paint now and spools are getting much closer in efficiency and getting better on Active O-Rings = maintance.

I hate it when a gun maker says "We only have one moving O'Ring" when they have 3 or 5 Active O'Rings. Then some ignoramus runs around quoting that like it means anything.
Note to Ignoramuses: It's the size of the O'Ring that is moving, or the surface being moved on it, AND the air pressure that is put on that O-Ring, AND the hardness of the O-Ring, AND the size of the gap between the two surfaces that determines the distortion of the O-Ring.
Smaller gap = less distortion.
Lower pressure = less distortion.
Smaller O'Ring & less O'Rings = less overall distortion.
Less distortion = less friction.
Less Friction = less FSDO and better cold weather play.

No where in that is whither or not the O'Ring moves. The difference is Static O'Ring or Active O'Ring. Moving or not moving is Ignorance.

I'm done now. thanks

Jack what about a set of eyes in the barrel back to help calculate the shot? Then the board knows where/when the next ball is on the stack, the ball is in breech and one ball that is on the way...could help

Fun idea but expensive. Investment/reward ratio - out of wack - even the second eyes to only helps above 18 or 19 BPS. Nobody cares.

the eyes in the breech do the same thing and having eyes in the barrel means that you either use just that stock barrel or an expensive barrel system each having there own set of eyes. and player love using aftermarket barrels

most of what could be done has already been stated so just being eccentric but what about quad detents to prevent any kinda of ball roll back

Easily prevented by not using a totally open face bolt like most spoolers use. I always hated that. Even a couple of minor tabs coming in off the edges works great. Quad detents add more drag and of course more maintenance.

Jack keep a ramped lip on the edge of the bolt tip as well. Maybe even a soft foam ramp made of the same stuff that's on your sweep bolts. Or......another idea I have is a non rotating spool bolt. Then you could maybe even make it removable for quick cleaning as a cartridge type of unit. Dump chamber as close to the breech as possible for max efficiency. Easy to access orings. Efficient. Able to run with minimal lube.

Call it the Alien Encounter Since my name got used on the last gun I figured I'd get a jump on the action lol.

How about the same tip as on sweep bolts - plus a second one that applies air evenly around. Puls with our SofTouch tip there is almost no rollback

Yep. You'll like how we did it.

The luxe comes with a barrel set up for inserts, and most ego users go with their barrel sets, and macdev's barrel kits are top notch. High end guns do not need a barrel kit. Thats for mid priced and lower end markers... the INDY is a HIGHEND

The point would not be to see the ball ( like the breech eyes do ) but to calculate the balls exit speed, and using that info, as well as ball in the breech and ball on stack, and the timing between those three to calculate the timing on the next ball from stack to barrel exit, as well as, dwell, fps, breaks, jams etc... think about being able to max all your settings, like setting the fps on the board and having the marker automatically adjust everything in milliseconds and on the fly, including fsdo, mode, dwell, ( well everything ) to keep you at that fps shot after shot. talk about consistant.
