Wisconsin Indoor Field

We're currently in works of planning and financing an indoor field in Madison, WI. We're looking to see what you guys are looking for, and what you think of the idea. We plan on having at least two 5-man fields, and a few other things that we won't divulge yet.

Would you consider making an indoor field your primary field?

Anyway, I'm intrigued. Wisconsin's had a tough go of it with indoor fields. You'd think that since we have winter six months of the year, and 1000% humidity four of the remaining six months, that an indoor would be ideal.

Something clean and not run down in less than a year would be a good goal for a indoor field.

Clean and not run down looking. Somewhere I can be proud to bring new players to.

Love the idea. Of course, not insane prices is what alot of people will say. 100$ a case is killer to any customer. But 50/60$ for 2,000 including all day air is perfect. Good green turf, good spectating area, basically make a clone of Stinger Paintball, and have decent paint and prices and good lighting.
On a personal note, I hate poles in the middle of field. Stinger never had them and they kinda get in the way. I know white fill is the norm for indoor cuz its easy to clean or something, but i personally hate it. seems to blend in all too well.
Also, stay afloat. Find something to also sell/do that makes money or dont be open 7 days a week. 90% of us only play on the weekends. Dedicated paintball fizzled pretty quick, twice. The crossfire reball @ Keva was a joke from the start.
Also, if you allow BYOP and charge say 10$-15$ a person per day or 5$ a case for it, you will also likely help Alienman paintball in Waunakee get more sales as well as profit yourself. Also, If you try to put them out of business, i shall not play here. fair warning

An indoor field in the Madison/Sun Prairie area would be awesome. All the guys I am up here with for work are itching for a chance at private company vs company games.

I've got family in the Delavan area and have been looking for a place to play when I visit. I work for the only two indoor facilities in the Twin cities and I can tell you that you DO NOT want to go with byop for indoor. You want to make sure that You know what's in the paint and that it won't eat away at the glue that holds the bunker seams and the turf together. If you have any questions I'll surely do my best to answer them for you.

During the winter, I'm down. Also, maybe during the week for grind/drill nights, but we have to travel to Chicago it seems like to get in a real good scrimmage during the summer. My team's based out of Janesville, but I live in Madison.

As far as the building is concerned, we are going to build plans for buying an existing building and building our own. Hopefully our lender will allow us to build, as it will suit everyone's needs in the end. We intend for this to be a very clean and well kept looking facility regardless of bought or built.

We've already done pricing rundowns on fields across the state, and some across the US. We intend to be very competitive with pricing, but that is also subject to distributors, shipping, etc.

We plan on having a lot of tournaments. We're going to make sure we'll have an air system that will keep up with demand of two fields running full bore. Definitely going to be doing a tournament to raise funds for the Wounded Warrior project as both owners are veterans.

Hope this is legit, and hope you choose GI paint.

The american TV buildings will be opening up soon im sure. They have two months or so until they are out of business. Big warehouse next to the westside store has been available for rent for a while.if i recall it was over 100,000 sq feet. Large enough for darn near 4 xball fields just by looking at it inside. Needs a roof job though :/, leaks a little bit. The stores themselves could probably handle a couple of fields inside.

Bad part is im sure they wont go cheap, better off buying land just outside of town and build.
But its prime commercial property, lots and lots of space and parking, would be an easy move for a similar business to just move in and not do remodeling.

I would like to see something different than the typical 5-man airball field. The plywood indoor "kill houses" would be something different and unique to help you stand out and bring people in. Also if this goes through I can say that the university students will be there practicing.

You don't really want to go with hard bunkers indoor. That means 100% of the paint is breaking and you have even more mess to deal with. Go with the Mighty Air bunkers if you're going to do that.

Track records for indoor paintball in Wisconsin are tough, do your due diligence with this and offer more than just paintball. Brew city seems to be doing ok but places like Stinger, Paintball Daves, and Cmp had trouble with paintball lasting and in highly populated areas. CMP is killing it with Laser Tag these days

We got some turf samples in today. I'm keen to the short grass turf, but my partner is in love with the long grass turf. What have you played on? What do you prefer? And why?

You may be joking, but it's true. Assuming their the same quality and it's just a preference thing, go with the easiest to clean.

I agree. Whichever one is easier to clean. I assume the short turf?

I'm thinking you should just make the indoor field in Green Bay. Too many liberals in Madison
