the sm-1 is half blocked. a standard cocker bolt wont work with that design
the sm-1 bolt is made for the SM-1 i dont understand why it would be shorter than another sm-1. like i said before the operating system is all cocker/sniper internaly there is no diffrence and there are many stickys about how cockers/snipers work.

i just got a SM-1 and i find that i cannot adjust the velocity with the IVG
i have a planet eclipse on/off ASA and a CP reg using HPA
it doesnt leak at all and i can adjust the velocity with the reg
i tried to sweet spot the reg but the velocity went above 300fps so i backed it off till it was about 285
any suggestions would be great

? what was your issue though? if the IVG is not adjusting that means its max out or you probably need a new hammer spring.
and thanks to all that tried to help. i figured it out and now it works like a champ. i adjust the HPR pressure to 180psi and tuned it from there. i replaced the springs sweet spot the IVG and now im getting +/1 285FPS using one same reball at a time to chrono.

I think he's saying that he needs help figuring out how to fix the IVG so that it will actually work.
I'm about to buy one of these... Any opinions from any owners?

Keep the pump hand strong

Are you saying the IVG isn't adjustable, or that when you adjust it, nothing happens?

Small question since we are on the topic of the SM-1. Is it possible to convert one of these into an electro or a mech?

Yes. I'm not sure its a direct conversion, though. I believe it would require a special front block made.

the talked to luis a couple of weeks ago and he said that his marker uses all autococker parts. so i think you can, but i would rather buy an actual autococker just to make sure that i can go in both direction-pump and electro. that think azodin has one of their marker that has that too. and you can buy it without modifying anything. http://www.ansgear.com/Azodin_KP_Ele...pplusblack.htm

the sm1 body has raised milling similar (but not the same patern) as a karni or a an 05 prostock. its used to lock the frontblock in and prevent it from twisting.

When i adjust the IVG (i.e. screw it in) the velocity doesnt change, either up or down.
It sounds like i need to re-spring the valve and the hammer
I love the marker, it shoots great

I'll look into it if the guy ever gets back to me about it (people on ebay and the nation seem to be terrible at that...)
I'm a fan the way it looks. Pretty cool milling and style to it. I also want to try a halfblock so this looks like a good place to start.
If its no ccm, any suggestions as to how I can improve its performance to shoot similar to one? Not looking to dump hundreds of dollars into one, but just make it a smooth marker. I have a TON of parts and accessories for mostly cockers, so I can use these if needed. I've got tons of AC threaded barrel kits (from freak to hammerhead, no problem here) and tons of very nice regulators and ASA's. I don't have any spare internals i could use though, sadly. I'm also gonna get the autotrigger with the one i'm hopefully buying for a good price.

SM-1 shoots smooth to me. very minimal differences between the T2. My suggestion though if you can find an SM-1 find the one with the auto trigger, but i know there is only 10 thats made and i got one of them and has the #1 stamped.
