Just landed in Langkawi: first impressions
It is late and I am wide awake, but since it is morning in the States I thought I'd update everyone.
I just landed in Langkawi for World Cup Asia and I'm already checked into the hotel. You can walk outside the terminal and see the event hotel. However, the impressive part is the field. I have only seen the outside of the building and it is beyond enormous.
I met the 2010 championship Iranian team Datis and they are determined to pull off a win. They look fierce in person so I want to see if their focus off the field translates into wins on the field. They have a championship defend and they brought the trophy right on the plane with them. However, their markers have not yet made it. They were held up but should be here tomorrow.
I can't wait to see the inside of this building and meet some more people.

Welcome to Malaysia - Langkawi ... May your stay be a memorable one (rocking paintball in Asia) ... unfortunately myself(Malaysian) is not able to make it WCA due to work commitment that clashed on the same date..

yeah I'd like to see some pics too..
am I the only one who thinks there
should be just the one "World Cup"?
I mean sure, I think it's a great tool
to promote pb and sell your product,
but maybe another name next time?

Looks like the festivities have begun. More players are scheduled to arrive today. The Singaporeans and Pinoys are already there.... there are a few ballers with twitter follow @hafizilamin a D2 player and me @achmedrauff playing in D3 for periodic updates and scores. No promises to cover everything but I try to get lots of pictures uploaded (via Blackberry) to twitpic.

I'd say both WCA or the Millenium series involve far more of the world than the US version. |

Malaysia is quiet and advanced country, so I suspect no wifi problems in your hotels.. |
