Are you certain that all the shims are the thicker red ones and not that the red may have rubbed off on one of the thinner silver shims? Compare the thicknesses to make sure as the standard adjustable reg should only have 2 thicker red shims. It is possible though that in a rare case 3 red shims were required to adequately hit the output ranges though.
To answer your original question, yes, removing one red shim should put you at the mid-range output of about 550-600.

Yes. I checked and compared all of them. The silver shim is supposed to be flimsy and all 3 red shims are not.

What options are there for 45/4500 tank covers/butts?
I saw exalt has a few options. I have an old Ninja Butt on my 68/45, but I think those are only available for 68s?
Thanks!

I have a tank that I just got from a friend and had a damaged bonnet so I replaced it and realized that it had no shims/spacers? What pressure will it put out?
I'm running a BL Closer and need 350-400 I'm told
Thx!

Wherever you purchase it from, just make sure it has the "N PRO" logo lasered on it. That's who you can tell the difference between both bonnets. Pro bonnets will also have 3 set screw holes instead of just 2 on the standard bonnet.

Kinda rare to get one with 3 red shims but if yours came like that from the factory, removing one will put you at about 650psi.

We have a Ninja Tank Grip that Exalt makes for us that comes with Ninja logos. We have a black one with red logos and a red one with black logos.
We also have Ninja Grip Tape if youre just looking for a non-slip backing on the butt of your tank.
We do not have any options available on a 45/4500 full tank cover unfortunately.

If you see a silver coil spring inside and you do not know how many shims and which colors originally came in the regulator, there is no way for me to tell you what the output will be. Best thing to do is call a few pro shops or fields and see if anyone has a tank regulator pressure tester. If so, air up the bottle and have a local company test the output for you. You can ship it to us but the costs of shipping the system ($15 roughly one way) will cost quite a bit just to do a test.

It's all places I go to. Others use ninja tanks. Have no problems.

Ok. You have the option of shipping us your system so we can gauge the fill nipple and take a picture to show you its within spec. Shipping will most likely be about $15 each way (rough estimate) + diagnostic fee ($19.95 if we find out its within spec). Please call us 877-646-5287 for a return authorization number and we'll help you out.

Im nut trying to be rude, but, I can pay $50, or $10 to just replace the fill nipple at my pro shop?
And I just sent a tank to empire and it was only $10 to ship it. I'm confused.

I said the $15 shipping was a rough estimate, Not an exact cost.
Yes, you can pay $10 to have your pro shop replace your fill nipple if that's what they charge people. That is something you will have to call them to find out.

I wasn't trying to be mean or anything. Thanks for the help! And they sell fill nipples for $10 with free installation on anything they sell, but will that void my warrenty?

This is a bit of a trick question -
Any fill nipple, including a Ninja, could void your warranty if it's not installed correctly. We always recommend putting a Ninja fill nipple on a Ninja regulator because we dont know the thread depth/etc from whoever is making the fill nipple you want to put on and since not all fill nipples are exactly the same. An aftermarket one (if installed improperly) could cause thread damage in the reg body where it screws into, which would not be covered (user error during installation).

No. Please tell me which color shims and how many of each color shim came in your reg so I can help you.
What is the lot# on your regulator? It is located by the fill nipple and will look like 2 numbers - 2 numbers - 2 or 3 letters.

There is not a PRO SMP due to the PRO reg being able to hit the SMP output with the Belleville spring stack.

No, sir. The SMP 550psi output is included in the Pro Adjustable reg. The Pro Adjustable can be set to 800, 700, 550, or 450psi.

I'm sorry but chips would not be covered under warranty. However, we do have a chip repair service for $20 + shipping both ways where we add a 2part epoxy over the chipped area to give the area another layer of protection and to prevent the chip from getting bigger.

Question for you Rob. I have a co-worker that I play with that bought a Ninja tank from Pev's earlier in the summer. He's having the issue that several other folks have posted about on here where the exterior "shell" of the tank is cracking from what looks like expansion. From what I saw last weekend it was pretty severe. How would you recommend he handle this...through Pevs or should he ship it to y'all and enclose a note detailing the issue?
