I took a flashlight and looked for shininess on my fill nipple (It is dust silver) and I didn't see any. It has no air in it. Should I be scared or not? Please E-mail back as soon as possible!
Hi. all of us received your emails and I just responded back. Please let me know what type of lube you used. I need to know if you used Gun Oil, Petroleum, or 100% silicone based grease.

Here's a copy/paste of the 2nd email I sent to you:

Just as a heads up, if you introduced GUN OIL or PETROLEUM lube in your hpa regulator, I need to recommend that you stop using your regulator and bottle immediately. Take it to a certified airsmith to see what they recommend you do. Since I donít have it in front of me, I canít say for sure on if its safe or not but a certified airsmith should be able to assist in your area.

If you used 100% silicone based grease, your system is fine. That is the grease that we use to lube the orings on the inside of your Ninja regulator.

Hey guys,

Is there anything internally different between the regular Ninja and a SLP that would prevent one from swapping the parts so you didn't have to break the seal on the tank.

Thanks

Yes, they are two entirely different spring packs. Other than that the burst disks, gauge, and fill nipple are the same.

Hi Rob,

I plan to buy a Ninja pro preset, my macdev tech in France recommand an output of 500psi for any GT, How can you achieve that with this preset? I assume that 550 would be ok right?

Hi Fellouss. We do not have a Ninja PRO Preset at 500 or 550. I would recommend the PRO Adjustable and adjust it down to 450 or 550. After speaking to Shootinpoo on here who is the US MacDev rep, he's been running his Clone GTs off of even lower pressures (300psi). We haven't done any testing on this yet which is why I would still recommend the adjustable. The nice thing about that reg is that you can adjust it to 550psi and see how your gt shoots. Then adjust it down to 450psi and see if there's any difference. If you're marker does not experience any shootdown and chrono at the velocity you need to be at, then I would recommend using the lower pressure.

Hey rob, My buddies' ninja system has a small leak out of the fill nipple. its not immediately noticeable but it leaks out overnight. We already dunked the tank into water and its coming out of the fill nipple. What should be done? If i have to replace the fill nipple oring, what size should it be?

might want to try degassing the bottle, uninstall the fill nipple, and inspect the oring on the inside. If you see a bunch of dirt on it, clean it, reinstall, and give it a try. If its damaged, you can use a 006-90CU to replace it. Make sure when you uninstall it, you pull the shaft out so you can swab out the inside of the fill nipple housing as well and give it a good cleaning.

I picked up a used Ninja SHP that I assume is from the initial release of SHPs. The bonnet is marked 1200 psi and has a single o-ring. It only shows 1100 psi on my test setup. Could the reg be in need of a rebuild, or is it more likely that the mini gauge (0-1200) that I'm using just isn't accurate enough?

Sounds like you have a Custom Ordered 1200psi output Ninja Reg minus 1 adjustment shim,
we Build the 1200psi and higher output regs for the Air rifle industries.
Production Gs series SHP regs are factory set at 1100psi and are shim adjustable down to 950psi,
Is your Reg labeled SHP or just 1200psi ?
what gun are you using that reg with ?

There is one red shim in the regulator, and I'm using it with my AGD Tac-One.

Whats laser engraved on your reg? If it just has (2) Ninja N's, then you have a custom output, 1200psi non-adjustable reg. If it has SHP laser engraved, then you have an SHP that ships at 1100psi and can be adjusted down by removing 3 thin shims inside to get it to 950psi.

Mine has the 2 Ns and "1200psi OUTPUT", but as I said, has only one shim.

Yup, you have a preset, non-adjustable 1200psi output regulator. You cannot adjust the output pressure on this one.

I realize it's not adjustable, but I was wondering why it's only outputting 1100psi.

2 things. 1) What type of gauge are you using? If you're using a gauge off of a bottle regulator, they can be off. 2) Have you tried degassing the bottle, disassemble the reg, clean, inspect the orings, and relube with a silicone grease yet?
