I have a tank that a chunk fell out of when I took my tank pad off last night. How do I get you guys to look at this regarding warranty or repair?? It has two and a half years of hydro left.

If one of our regs leaks, usually giving it a good cleaning (clean all of the internal parts and inside of the body and bonnet and relube) and re-lube will take care of about 90-95% of the leaks that can occur on our reg. Good to hear she's working well for you now

As a suggestion - I would recommend doing a quick service on the reg once or twice a year, just to ensure no debris from dirty air fills are accumulating on your orings and to make sure the lube is still fresh/good.

So I have a brand new ninja pro. And I was wondering. What are some tips to prevent thread wear on the tank threads and my Vego11's pops threads??? It seems like it just slices through the annodizing...

I would recommend adding some DOW grease to the threads before screwing them into your on/off. That way, youre not screwing aluminum onto aluminum and eating away at the threads. Also, when you screw your air system into your on/off, dont just freely spin the bottle until it stops on its on. When you do that, the reg top can sometimes bottom out into the on/off (depending on how hard you freely spin the bottle) and can fuse the metal on top of the regulator into the pocket of your on/off. You can spin the bottle but when it gets close to having the reg seat inside the on/off, you can slowly turn the bottle with your hand until it stops.

Hey Rob,

I managed to bend my bonnet and need a new one. I don't see where on the Ninja website I can find the same, double o-ring bonnet for my SLP. And is it possible to buy the new swivel one for it or do I need a whole new reg? Can you post a link here or pm me? Thanks

We have removed all order taking down from our site and we're also redesigning our site and will have a few new pages up over the weekend. If you need a new bonnet, we suggest trying a local store, field, or your favorite internet site. If you are unable to source it through one of those, give us a call at 877-646-5287and anyone who answers can place an order for you.

I have a pro series SLP tank and trading my axe for a SL74. Will it work without FSDO or Velocity drop-off? Thanks!

I would recommend using an MP output on an Ego, that would provide an adequate recharge as well as good consistency from shot to shot. The SLP may not be able to keep up with the regulator and be able to recharge it fast enough at sustained or higher rates of fire.

Hey Rob,
What would be the benefits of running my Mini at 500 psi vs. 800 psi with ur standard adjustable reg? Less wear on the guns reg and maybe more shots out of the tank? Also, my reg has the two red shims and two of the thin silver ones. What would happen if I remove all of the shims to make it output 400 psi?

Yes, you would have less wear on the guns reg and yes, you should get more shots. The reason is because if you have your gun set to operate with an input of 800psi from your tank reg, after you drop below 800psi, you may start to see drop off. If your reg is set to 500psi, you can shoot deeper into the tank meaning more shots per fill. Not much, but it is a slight gain

you may experience drop off under rapid fire or you may not be able to chrono your marker at the velocity you want to be at.

When you state shim, are you talking about adjustment shims or the belleville spring pack? Either way, you dont need to put lube on either one, only on orings. Just make sure to use a silicone based grease, DO NOT USE OIL. the grease will eventually work its way onto the adjustment shims or get on the belleville springs. If this occurs, its perfectly normal.

So then this means that I would need to adjust my guns regulator when switching from tanks with different output pressures?

Quote:

Could you explain why? Because from a layman's perspective, if your gun is only operating at 150 psi then 800 or 500 shouldn't make a difference because its not like the extra 300 is being vented out anywhere.

Quote:

In the Mini's manual it says: If you are using an adjustable output regulator system the output pressure should be between 350-450 psi .
So assuming I experience no drop off and no velocity problems, will the ninja's performance or durability be adversely affected if I remove all the shims?
