I want to have my local shop order me a SHP reg and the biggest bottle you make (assuming 45/90ci) as an assembled unit, for my 98c. What is the part # they should order. Also when is the next time you will sell a larger tank? (Thinking 110 or 114)

sounds like a rebuild is in order. you will need to empty the tank and disassemble the reg, check the orings (replace damaged ones), clean, lube and reassemble.

Disassemble the reg or the bonnet? and check the orings on the piston? or where?

Your reg is most likely dirty from dirty fills at your field. I would take your reg apart and clean the entire thing out. To do this, start by bleeding the system with the ASA on your marker or a spare ASA. Next, remove the grub screws the keep the bonnet in place and unscrew the bonnet from the reg body. Remove the internals from your reg and make sure you are familiar with the order in which they go in the reg. WIpe down everything with a clean cloth or a microfiber, and clean inside the reg body and bonnet with a q-tip or something similar that helps you get in all the tight places. Inspect the oring below the pin hole opening to make sure it is still in good shape and does not have any nicks or chunks taken out. Relube all the internals of the reg (piston, springs, shims) with Dow33 or Sleek/Slick/PE Grease etc, DO NOT USE OIL, and reassemble the reg.

They regs are very easy to remove. You can usually get them off the a strap wrench or a vice (if you use a cloth to keep from damaging the reg). I usually use a heat gun (glorified hair dryer) at my shop and can twist them off by hand or with a strap wrench. You can use a hair dryer on LOW for a few mins to warm the reg up and loosen/melt and loctite that would have been used to secure the reg from Ninja. I recommend hand tightening the reg when you install a new one, as I have multiple guns that I use different regs for. It is also great for when you travel since you an just unscrew the reg once you bleed all the air.

By taking the bonnet off the reg body, you are disassembling the reg. THey are one in the same, you are just referring to one part of the process. I would check all the orings on the piston and inside the pin hole. If they look good then I would just wipe everything down with a clean cloth or microfiber and then relube with a Dow33 or Sleek/Slick/PE Grease etc., NEVER USE OIL!

Just have them call in and ask to order a 90/4500 with an SHP and we'll get it out to em Not sure about the larger tank. We have thought about it and are still debating. If we plan on coming out with a larger tank, we'll definitely list it on our facebook page and send notices out

We sure do. We prefer to ship using USPS to Canada but, you can also purchase our products through several large distributors in canada which might save you a little on shipping. Try PBL, Underground Sportz, or your local paintball store.

you may want to do some preventative maintenance like cleaning your internals and the inside of the body and then relubing the orings. Its up to you though.

Hi !

I just bought a Ninja 68-4500 tank.

When I first filled it, it was leaking from the ASA pin.

When I got home, I followed the instruction video posted above and removed the bonnet from the tank to inspect the internal parts. I was thinking that maybe a piston oring could need a replacement.

Turn out that the area around the piston (in the bonnet) was FULL of metal shavings. I removed the spring and the shims and found even more metal shavings.

When I removed the piston, the ASA pin was also covered with metal shavings which were stuck on the red grease.

I got the tank brand new from BuyPBL so I'm the first owner.

I removed pretty much all of the metal shavings but don't currently have access to an air source to test if the leak is solved (as stated, the o-ring looks just fine.

I'll also inspect my etek's HPR in case some of the shavings got in it through the ASA and macroline.

So I was wondering if this a known issue or something I should worry about (QC-wise) ?

The lower part of the reg

That was on the upper part of the reg (around the piston and on the ASA pin)

recently took my tank cover off and saw some ridges on the tank. felt it and turns out i can feel that the clear coating is cracking. you can see the crack on the lines. only on the clear coating. the black parts of the tank is not cracked at all, but on the clear spot it's noticeably cracked and i can feel it as well with my fingernail if i rub across it.
no drops/dents. the bottle is in fact pretty clean. haven't seen very many games.
it's cracked on the first, third and last line of text on the bottle. kind of noticeable in the pictures.
kind of worried to air it up any suggestions?
