I just bought a Ninja 68-4500 tank.
When I first filled it, it was leaking from the ASA pin.
When I got home, I followed the instruction video posted above and removed the bonnet from the tank to inspect the internal parts. I was thinking that maybe a piston oring could need a replacement.
Turn out that the area around the piston (in the bonnet) was FULL of metal shavings. I removed the spring and the shims and found even more metal shavings.
When I removed the piston, the ASA pin was also covered with metal shavings which were stuck on the red grease.
I got the tank brand new from BuyPBL so I'm the first owner.
I removed pretty much all of the metal shavings but don't currently have access to an air source to test if the leak is solved (as stated, the o-ring looks just fine.
I'll also inspect my etek's HPR in case some of the shavings got in it through the ASA and macroline.
So I was wondering if this a known issue or something I should worry about (QC-wise) ?

That was on the upper part of the reg (around the piston and on the ASA pin)
