We looked into it about 4 years ago when Ninja first came out and unfortunately, we just couldnt get it covered under our insurance plan. Maybe if we took the time to redesign what we were thinking of, it could pass. Right now, we just dont feel its a product that we could make enough profit on to warrant retooling, new programs for the CNC machines, and design/prototyping.

I do like the idea though. Just something we aren't looking into at this time...mostly due to the original idea getting shot down by our insurance carrier
Too bad! Damned insurance and liability!

How large/small of a particle is likely to cause the regulator to have problems? I'll build my own filter. It's not like 6000 psi filters don't exist.

So tell me about some of the cool stuff you can't make.

BTW...I have found a 6000psi filter that will filter any particulate size down to 2 microns if needed. It can be cleaned out when it gets clogged up and has 1/8 NPT threads on it so I can add fill station fittings to it. What size do I need to filter for to minimize polluting the reg seat?

I have the ninja pro tank and after a bit of use the set screws to adjust the adjustable collar are coming loose, would it be advisable to put on blue loctite on them? or would that create problems later on

can't sell bottles by themselves, can't sell a reg removal tool, cant sell this type of product that you're describing, etc. Theres a lot

Anyways, We are not in any position to recommend guidelines you should use on a product that has never been manufactured, especially one that is not manufactured by us. This is something you will need to do on your own if you would like to make something up.

Just got a nice Ninja Grey to run on my Geo 2.1. Should I leave the shims as stock or can I drop the pressure ?

I was dry firing my marker after about a few months of it sitting in my gear bag, and with about 500 psi left in the tank, air started to leak from in between the bonnet and the rest of the housing. I opened it up for the first time since I had purchased it, about a year ago (since I don't go paintballing that often, there was no need to open it), and there are deep groves "carved" in the housing from the screws. Is my regulator damaged? I cleaned off both the bonnet and the housing and reassembled it, but I don't have any air left to test it and wont be able to get a fresh fill for maybe a week.

Ok. This is my fourth Ninja tank, second grey ghost 68/4500

Arrived in the mail from insane paintball. And I couldn't pull the tank out of the bag! Finally picking the bag off of every single area of the tank and it's extremely tacky. Is this normal? It's a weird feeling. It's tacky and yet powdery....

If its two indentations 180 degrees apart, those are supposed to be there as far as I'm aware of.

I dont supposed you could post pics just to be sure?

I've noticed this as well on my candy red Ninja 68. I've simply washed it off with my garden hose...

Which is precisely why I'm asking about Ninja regs. I'm absolutely certain you KNOW what size particulate will cause the reg to malfunction.

I saw a video about the ninja reg and someone using that removal tool. A $15 strap wrench works just as well. I suppose anyone could take a steel rod and put the right threads on the end of it. I was thinking of making something like it to thread in the 1.8" NPT ports on a reg to make removing the reg easier, but then I found in the plumbing supply section of the local hardware store pipe pieces that work just as well.

Someone above mentioned putting blue locktite on the grub screws on the ninja pro reg. I had to do that to keep them in the reg. I found the collar screws had worked loose despite having just tightened them and that my tank was rotating and one of the screws had backed out about half way. For a reg that literally had a few hours of use on it, this was a little annoying. After that I carried an allen wrench with me on the field and snugged down the screws as needed. Hopefully now that they are held in with locktite, that wont be a problem anymore.

That means there wasn't enough pressure in the tank to seal up your reg. What you can do to try and help that is to give your reg a good cleaning on the inside, along with cleaning all of the parts and relubing your orings with a Silicone based grease. Sometimes dirt and debris on orings can cause this to occur as well.

As far as the deep grooves "carved" into the housing from the screws, its because you didnt back the set screws out far enough before unscrewing the bonnet from the regulator body. As long as you clean all of the metal shavings and the regulator still holds air, you can continue using it. If the regulator is damaged to the point where it wont stop leaking, you will need a new regulator.

This is the new gel coat coming from our bottle supplier, Gayston. They changed the formula to ensure the newer bottles wont develop cracks in the cosmetic layer of the gel coat. I was talking to another rep here at Ninja (Nate) and he recommends using a microfiber and water to try and get the "tackiness" off the bottle.

We do not recommend it due to the laser markings on the regulator.

I bought a Ninja 48/3000 a couple of months ago and used it about 5 times and then once when I used it on my buddy's Etha at the end of the day it would come off. It wasn't reverse threaded but what happened was we couldn't get any torque on it because the Reg kept sliding around. I dry-fired the rest of the air out ad then took off the actual lower part of the reg and bottle. I used an allen key wrench to get it out.

Upon closer inspection I found out that the screws had stripped the inside of the tank and that I could no longer use the tank. I had adjusted the pressure once about 2 months before and it worked great on my gun but teat one time with my friends Etha it broke.

I figured oh well and decided that it wasn't worth the trouble of getting it fixed so I upgraded and got an Draxxus tank with a ninja pro reg adjustable on it. I took it out for the first time having adjusted the pressure to 500 psi or so and as soon as i put it into my marker and took it out it had a small leak coming out of what I thought to be the pin spring thing at the top. I put it into my gun again and it wasn't leaking.

I had and still hear a lot of great things about Ninja but I can't help to say that I am a bit disappointed with my experience. With my 48/3000 and Ninja pro reg I put it together just the way the video online stated and got the screws in nice and tight.

I just want to get my stuff back up and working again. Thanks and I hope to hear from you soon.

You have to keep those set screws tightened down. they can loosen after using the air system. A little bit of blue loctite on those can help.

In regards to the pin valve leak, you bought a Pro reg on a Draxxus bottle. Since Draxxus bottle haven't been around in years, Im' assuming this is a used air system? If its leaking out of the pin valve, cleaning the pocket the pin valve sits in and flipping that oring upside down will usually take care of that. If not, you can call us to have a new pin valve kit sent to you no charge. If it is an older bottle and the person you bought it from did not clean out the tank before screwing the new reg in, dirt or old loctite that might be in the bottle could get up inside the reg and cause issues like what you're describing.

Sorry if this has been asked before but I've got an older standard Ninja reg. What shims should I have in the reg. to be optimal for a Luxe 1.5 with a 2.0 core?

I would recommend removing the 2 red shims and leave the silver shim in there. Im' not very familiar with what the new operating pressure of the marker would be with the pooty powercore but this is something you can ask him direct. With removing 2 red shims (the thicker shims), that will get you to roughly 500psi. That should be plenty of pressure to operate the luxe, as long as the bolt can accept the 500psi from the tank reg. Again, this is something you will need to confirm with Pooty.
