disturbed989's video was well done. I was surprised to see the number of people who commented on how quiet it was.

It doesn't LOOK as smooth as the average luxe in the video, but, an ergonomic marker can minimize the perception of most of a markers recoil.

I neglected to mention earlier, I won the aforementioned www.automags.org speed shooting competition.

I have shot luxes from 1.0's to 2.0's and pooty modded. The vapor to me has the same volume sig of a luxe and is as if not a tad bit quieter(personal opinion) just a different sound sig. the vapors reminds me of a puffing but it sounds cool.

Vapor is quieter and definitely softer than a Luxe.

It might just be me but, I see a noticeable amount of kick on the shooting video. More than I see in a luxe or clone shooting video.

I'm dying to shoot one of these though. Seems like an interesting gun.

Overall it looks like a solid marker. I just want to see how it holds up long term.

I see the same thing as well.

The extra efficiency really has me intrigued .

That sounds like realistic numbers for a very fast shooter. Thanks for the details.

all the "kick" aka barrel rise says to me is that vapor isnt completely balanced. Ive owned a luxe so i can attest to how well balanced it is. The weight is evenly distributed over the length of the gun limiting this noticeable barrel rise. I dont have my vapor yet *friday cant come quick enough* but from what i've read it seems as though it's a really light marker. All of this said, overall weight as well as balance has a lot to do with "kick". A heavier marker will lessen kick because as the paintball is propelled forward, the force that it causes on the marker to be pushed backwards is countered by the weight which... "absorbs" some of this force In a lighter marker not so much so you'll get a more noticeable barrel rise.

I guess what I'm trying to say is.. does a little barrel rise matter when, for the most part, one pod=one kill? (if youre lucky lol) Im cool with it as long as the feel of the shot is on par with the luxe, and as some are claiming, the efficiecny is a little better.. I'll buy that for a dollar

I'll agree that the barrel rise is usually from the gun's weight being distrubted unequally. You can test this by replacing stock barrels with a Deadly Wind cf barrel. The decrease in weight on the front of the gun will increase barrel rise.

yep it does.. With a heavier marker *and by heavier im not talking a 10 pound difference* you'll see less rise. But if it's heavier AND back heavy.. you'll still see a little rise. If you have balance AND heavier.. the rise will be negligible at best.. but what you will get is the gun moving straight back into your shoulder.. ie the clone GT which i was considering. Most people complain about the price of the vapor arguing that you get a better gun for less money. That may or may not be so.. it depends on what you're looking for in a marker. It very well may be a smoother marker but for the money of a vapor, you get a marker that may be on par with the GT/luxe but for 150-200 dollars more, you're getting a full barrel kit, two triggers and a hopper down the road. So the price really isnt all that different. In the end I went with what I PERSONALLY FELT was a better value.
*insert 2 cents here*

Just built an orange black vapor

Tested

Dry firing the gun was very smooth, low recoil and quiet. And that's dry fire no hopper just a homemade muzzle barrel I use for gun testing.

I should have some cool pics up tomorrow of a shaved, modded and splashed vapor. It will change the way the gun looks for sure. Minor but effective for sure. Should be good.
