Where would be a good place for some walk ons?
I have not played in years, 11 or twelve, but I got the bug.
Where is a good place to get some good walk on time?
(I like maybe 5-10 mins between games.)

hey come out to roundtop sometime, me and usually about 5 other if not more are out every sunday, me usually every other. on the 10th my friend is having a party up there so it should be a big day. come on out and play! field fee is like 15 bucks and paint is 58 for lower grade paint which i havent had a problem with and all star higher end paint is like 63. we play games pretty much as we want. ref stands out with us

Linglestown Paintball usually has a lot of walk-ons - field fee is the same ($15), but their paint is less expensive ($45/case), and is usually RPS Stinger or comparable quality. If you're lookin' to save some $$, and get a full day in - go to Linglestown.

im at roundtop every sunday (weather permitting)
the speedball fields do get a lil muddy, big puddles after hard rain because of where they are. the woods fields typically dont get bad at all. compared to dice at wpp with the swamps that eat your shoes and the awful stench....yea ill take RT
ill b there by 10 on the 10th. wanna get in some good practice with kyle n max 3vX before going to ohio. we had a great time doin 2v2, 2v3 and 1v1s sunday. kyle you were holdin it down. i may not be there the 11 tho. only cuz i have to save for the trip. kinda plan on shooting 3ish cases....
and since RT allows us to ramp and our tounry is 13bps psp ramping, kinda figure we should practice in ramping. i'll change it or use my other gun for woodsball, but on speedball i think its a good idea

Ugh... Ramping. Semi-only fields that don't allow fast firing modes are the only way to go for me. It's too easy to overshoot someone if you're ramping. That, and the faster firing modes tend to lead towards "spray-and-pray" styles of play & accuracy-by-volume. I'd rather play with someone that can hit a target at 100 feet out (well-within a paintball gun's range) with 2 balls than someone that can coat the general area of the target with 30 of them, but still miss.

haha justin had sent me something too, i think we all did a good job playing, didnt know the tourney was 13bps ramping, ill only be out the 10th then the weekend before ohio i prolly will. plannin on 4 cases here :S.
as for semi only vs ramping i enjoy ramping regardless if im called a newb or whatever, we all play with it except justin lol. every now and then someone gets bonus balled but stuff happens, as long as your happy to play!

I'm not a fan of ramping. Hate capping too. Semi uncapped everything.

ive only ever semi at the fields. i agreee that ramping is typically unnecessary and espically so vs rentals and newbs. BUT - since its allowed in the tourny we're going to and the other teams are sure to be using it, im going to practice that way. i was ramping at justing yesterday when we practiced and it was completely different than how i normally play. i was shooting tons of balls just switching hands. i had better control of it by the end of the day. plus, i can shoot better left handed lol
kyle - i know the tourny is ramping. the 2011 psp rulebook said under 13bps. they are waiting on 2012 rules, but i would assume it be the same. im setting my guns at 12.5 to be safe

I don't play speedball.. .so I've never needed to use ramping. I run electro guns (Smart Parts SP-1, a-5 w/ egrip, alpha black w/ egrip), and firing semi is fast enough for me.

I can shoot at LEAST twice as fast in semi as I can in the 12.5 ramping (25/sec).
Honestly, if you want to get better, practice on semi ONLY.
I NEVER practice AT ALL in ramping. I usually go semi capped at 12.5 or semi capped at 10.
Practice semi, then you get the trigger work down. Anyone can shoot ramping, but if you can't shoot semi while moving, well then you are screwed. Shooting semi while moving really helps you with your aim rather than just firing paint. It is much harder to hold a marker steady shooting two or three finger at 20+ than at the 5-8 maintain for ramping with one finger.

ive only.practiced or even used ramping once and that was at a home field. I can hold 15-16 bps semi and peak around 30. I was only mentioning using it because why wouldnt we in the tourny and I kno we usually dont ramp, so it will get us use to it
