Honestly, I feel like rosetta stone takes a much different approach to teach you a language than taking an actual course does. I'm not saying this is how it always is, or even how it will be for you, but it's how it was for me. This past semester, I took Italian and rosetta stone didn't help much at all because the teaching styles were so different.
Oh, and the material in which I was learning in class did not correlate well with what rosetta stone was teaching me at any given time throughout the semester.
Hopefully you have a better experience though, good luck! Hope you enjoy it.
