First Paintball Gun
Hello. I am very new to paintball and I want an electronic marker for my first gun. I kind of want to save money. I am looking at getting a used Invert Mini or a GOG Envy. Price wise which would be better? I like both for different reasons and I like how the Envy takes C02. But I would prefer getting a Mini. On a budget what would you go for? By the way, I can get a used Mini for about the same price as an Envy. Thank you. Please Reply ASAP

hey my local field rents out envys and i personally own a mini. I think if you strictly have the money to buy used i would go with the invert mini. i think the invert mini is lighter and feels much better on you hands. i also seem ti notice a farting noise when i shoot the envy but it might be because it is a rental. If you can try to shoot both guns before you buy and watch reviews that might show matinence and efficiency etc. If you have enough money try to buy a hpa tank. A ninja 3000 psi is 50 dollars and will be a great upgrade from co2 abd you will also save money in the long run seeing as fills of co2 are 5 a fill and hpa = 5 all day

Buy used, half the price, same quality marker. It is very hard to break a paintball marker; everything is fixable.

I have a Mini. You will eventually want to go to HPA anyway, Mini's an awesome marker.

If your spending 200$ on the Envy, might as well spend the extra 50$ for the eXTCy. Its faster, has changeable body kits, more firing modes, and has removable eyes. Btw, don't use CO2 on your envy or extcy. It'll ruin your board and f*ck up your gun. Just go HPA, more air, more shots, more fun.

If ya really want to save money, go pump. IMHO it's much more fun than the old "accuracy by volume" a.k.a. Spray and Pray a.k.a Wasting Paint.

OP:
I would recommend buying new for your first gun. Especially if your looking at something like a mini, seriously... spend the extra $100 get a brand new gun with no beachwear, no problems and a factory warranty.

what? No. That's ridiculous.^ Seriously.
Save that "extra $100" for paint or replacement parts that you may need.
If you can wipe a piece of metal with a towel, then squirt and rub some lube on it every once in a while, you've just saved a ****load of cash that can be used on a mask, air tank, or paintballing moneys.
There is no need to buy anything new these days. None of my stuff is new. None of it. Not even the headbands.

Isn't that part of learning your gun inside and out? Sure I can see if something little inside breaks, but you should be comfortable enough to field strip it and look before sending it off.

If you use CO2 with the Envy, your tank needs to have an anti-siphon tube.

true, but i think it really helps to start with a spyder or spyder clone. 99% of the gun can be serviced by the user
