Josh,

Truthfully - has no impact on us one way or the other. We need to stay focused and play our game - if we can do that then we win. If we are taken out of our game - we lose. Pretty simple.

The phrase "Any given sunday" stands true - any team, any sunday - anyone can win.

We can only worry about ourselves and our practice leading up to the event.

In regards to player conditioning, with lower body strength playing a vital part in a player's success... what technigues do the players utilize to keep their legs/ lower back strong? ie; squats, treadmill, bike, etc??

as in any sport the legs are the most important part of the body to be strong as well as your core.

the legs are your foundation and the strongest muscles in your body...they help with snapshooting, and bursts of speed and movements. agility drills (short distance shuttle runs), plyometrics etc will all help build muscle..however there is nothing like 10 minutes straight of snap shooting to make the thighs burn (changing levels throughout)...rinse and repeat.

your core (back and stomach) will keep your upper body stable. this is great to concentrate on (side crunches) as it will strengthen the muscles needed again for accurate and fast snap shooting as well as maintaining good posture for posting on lanes etc.

First of all, congratulations on making it back to the Champs! I have a few questions for you guys if you don't mind.

What did you learn from playing in the challengers division that you can take with you to the Champions and be more competitive? (Were you guys able to learn anything new about the pro RaceTo-7 format that you might not have picked up just grinding it out with the top tier teams? Whether it be coaching, playing, etc.)

Having been apart of both the relegation and promotion(I knew you guys would come back), do you think it's a good idea now? Or do you think it's bad, or simply do the changes still need to be played out for the rest of the season and use some tweaking?

What are your thoughts on now having two new pro teams that are within driving distance?

In my opinion, the one big thing we learned is that we hate being relegated.
We are always learning every tournament. It made us care more about the position we were in prior in the sense that we worked so hard to go Pro and it does not feel good to lose that position. As far as how we played, I think we were able to exploit some inexperience of other teams but during semi finals/finals, our approach backfired on us and we didn't adapt well.

I think in a whole, the promotion/relegation system will be a good thing. I think the idea was rushed and therefore needs a lot of tweaking but no matter what format is put in place, nothing is ever perfect which is why it's constantly being changed.

What are your thoughts on now having two new pro teams that are within driving distance?
As far as Top Gun, we've practiced them several times a year for a couple of years now. We've seen them quite a bit through practice and events which is probably why it's always a close battle.

We have just started building a relationship with the Jesters. We had a practice a couple weeks before this past event and are trying to continue that.

Hey guys, question for you all....
When you hold your try-outs, what are the key attributes you are looking for in players, both ON and OFF the field.
Also, aside from the normal drills, what are some of the simulations you run the prospects thru to find what you're looking for??

Bad71,

We're looking for players that fit in off the field as well as fit in on the field. We're not looking with superstars with big heads.

We're looking for players who are open to listening and learning.

Would really like to be put on your guys roster. I would LOVE to show you I can hang with the boys. I made this PBN account just to get ahold of someone on the roster.

I'm more than willing to be a pod-*****. As long as I get to be educated as well. How should I contact you about a position on the team?

Keep an eye out for tryouts - we usually hold an open tryout every year - mid season.

We're always looking for players who show potential and have the room to grow as a player. Not saying we pick up player and roster them right away, but we bring them into the family and let them practice with us and work with us in the pits, etc.. It's a great opportunity if you're the right fit for what we're looking for.

Sounds perfect. I'd love to become a part of the 187 cRew family. Whatever makes me a better player! I'll be on the look out for tryouts

It really isn't if you're serious you'll make it happen. I have heard of people driving 4 hrs each way to practices.
