Did those rumors about the next gen consoles locking down used games ever get confirmed? If the reason for the online pass was to discourage used sales, and next gen consoles do that anyway, they really don't need the passes anymore.

I don't remember where I saw it so I don't have a link for you, but I recall hearing that, at least in the case of the new Xbox, that whole always online thing would (most likely) not be happening. So if that is true, it seems like used games should work just fine.

I read that also. 5 days and we should get some solid details on the new Xbox!

I'm very skeptical about this announcement. I think EA has something else up their sleeve (hopefully less intrusive) or there is something about the new generation consoles that doesn't require an online pass code.

I just don't trust EA anymore I guess
