Ew, no.
Conviction was just run and gun. It was garbage. No stealth element left at all.
Game used to be so fun. Shame they had to ruin it.

You could certainly play it run and gun, and it's true it had less of the stealth of the previous games because you couldn't avoid killing people as much, but it was still an excellent game in its own right that gets a bad rep from butthurt fanboys. And this is coming from someone who has been a fan if the series since the beginning. My only issue with the game was, though I enjoyed the new mechanics, it was a little too short and the missions could stand to be a bit less linear. The new one is supposed to be less linear, with more missions like old school SC, but retain the Conviction mechanics like mark and execute, so I'm cautiously optimistic.
I'm more concerned that Rockstar is going to make yet another GTA that is fun for about 4 hours then be boring as hell from then on. |

I've never liked the series. I've liked the idea, played most of them and always grow bored half way through. It's the terrible missions they always seem to throw in the middle of the game that they need to do better on. Rockstar can make good games, I just think sometimes they add **** to the GTA games just to extend the length, not to strengthen its narrative or make things more fun. |

Slim. Odds are 720 and PS4 will be released after this game, sometime in Fall most likely.

Still doesn't mean they won't have a port ready at the console's launch. I don't expect it to be a particularly huge leap in visual fidelity from the current gen. Think the 360 port of Gun compared to the Xbox version.

great point.
Im thinking theres a large incentive for R* to have a next gen version ready for the console releases. People will be gung-ho after buying a new console and will be buying up games, and what better than GTA V with improvements (however minor)?

speculation points to a release date by the holidays and a "cheaper" price point so Sony can ensure a hot start, similar to what the 360 had and has continued to have

I don't expect a release date or a price until E3. Tomorrow will most likely show off what the hardware will probably look like, and have some mock up vids of what to expect from the games/UI. |

Being around LA area, its just rediculous. Seeing the pic of Santa Monica Pier and seeing it in real life. ****'s amazing. Just the environment is gonna be enough for me to buy it. **** yeah Rockstar.

Cannot wait.
I never did get around to beating GTA:IV. It was just such a departure from San Andreas that I didn't get into it when it was released so I picked up the full package for 15 bucks on Amazon a few weeks ago.
Right now playing through The Lost and the Damned, and Ballad of Gay Tony DLC that came with it. Then I'll start a new GTA:IV game, since I can't remember a thing that happened in it, to get ready for V!

was in gamestop today and they had a GTA V display that said September 17th. not sure if the release date is new news or not but i cant ****ing wait.
