Heck they were barely even useable out of the box until they came out with the custom versions using other people's technology lol.

Man, you trash on shockers a lot.
Stock, shockers kind of... well. They suck.
But any aftermarket part greatly overcomes for that.
Even a virtue board and re-oringing the whole bolt engine could more than double your efficiency and firing rate consistency.
I haven't thought about the whole lubrication thing with Xrings.
Would be cool to pair it with the FF kit.
Unfortunately I lost the bookmark for the place that sells the Xrings and the other types of Orings, so I'm kind of a sitting duck atm.
If you know of any site, let me know.

lol these are the things that make shockers special.. you pretty much had to build em from the ground up to be the beast they are and its your own special gun...or else they were pewp...... thats why i like shockers for the most part.....
but onto the original topic, it seems like no one has had any actual mechanical problems with the demon and most of the demon owners seem to be very happy with their guns.... if it aint broke dont fix it!
from the pics, there really is no place to put a spring.. you could make a new back cap/bolt guid and bore the bolt out to accept a spring if you really wanted to... but the Demons seem to not have any of the problems that the springs were meant to solve.. so leave it be! KISS, Keep It Simple Stupid!!!

That's tough to do
I see your point, though. I didn't mean to "fix" anything.
More like "possibly improve on it". If the demon is so efficient already. Imagine the ridiculous numbers it can achieve when spring assisted. Or at least that was my thinking behind it.

LOL true. I'm old enough to still remember a time when things you bought worked the way they were supposed to without HAVING to add parts. Customizing by choice is one thing...being forced to is another lol.
Oh well, on a positive note you can buy a decked and fully functional shocker these days pretty darn cheap!
Back on topic.....the demon may not NEED any FSDO cures....but what if one could increase efficiency in some other way? Most spoolers dump too much air because the bolt is in the forward position for too long, which means you're still oozing air even though the ball is long gone out of the gun. Perhaps a volume restricted bolt of some type? Maybe blocking out some transfer holes in the bolt? A spacer system in the dump chamber? The spring mod isn't the ONLY option is my point. Who knows!

I thought of making a magnet mod, which has magnets on the front lip of that back part of the bolt and in the front of the can, so it's magnetically forced backwards to the point of sealing and then the air can continue to set it in place.

Shocker people tried to do this originally but it creates a some type of magnetic field or something and causes major friction, its called The "something" effect, dont remember the name but im sure its in a thread around here.
