And to round it off,
2003 (NXL): Philly Americans
2002 (10man): SC Ironmen & Dynasty (Co-Champions)
2001 (10man): Aftershock
2000 (10man): SC Ironmen
1999 (10man): Avalanche
1998 (10man): Bob Long's Ironmen
Note that for 1998-2002 these were the NPPL Champions. PSP didn't start hosting their own individual series until 2003.

I don't remember exactly when the NXL went away and the current RaceTo format started. But those are all the pro results at PSP's world cup (2003 to current).
When did the NPPL pro champs start exactly? I'd love to know the results from start to current.

Not sure if 1998 is when they started running a series champion or not. Earliest results I can find online is the 1996 World Cup which was won by Aftershock.
Here's the teams who won World Cup from 1996 - 2002
2002: Aftershock
2001: Dynasty
2000: SC Ironmen
1999: Aftershock
1998: Aftershock
1997: Image
1996: Aftershock
Man, 'Shock use to rock World Cup. And from past event reviews, 2009 is the year that NXL appears to have been given up. (source: http://www.propaintball.com/2008/12/...ision-aka-nxl/)

Damn, yeah I guess so. Looks like they still hold greatest number of World Cup wins.
Is SC Ironmen same as Dye Ironmen, or was that basically Bob Longs Ironmen? I know there were two Ironmen teams at one point.

Yes, today's DYE sponsored Los Angeles Ironmen are the legacy of the Southern California (SC) Ironmen.
Bob Long was an original member of Team Ironmen but split due to personal disputes and claimed the right to use the name as he was one of the only OGs left. So his team played under the name Bob Long's Ironmen before they changed to Oakland Blast when they entered the NXL.

The funny part about this question is that when X-Ball had its first full season in 2003, whoever won World Cup, automatically won the series. In fact it was the only NXL tournament of the year where there was an overall winner. The rest of the events had games played, but they were regular season games with no overall tournament winner until World Cup. Bob Long's Assassins did great all season long both years, but they failed to win World Cup so they had no actual tournament wins or a series win.
However, before the NXL and after 2004, the team that won World Cup didn't also automatically win the series. For instance, Damage won the series last year but didn't win World Cup. This year Damage won World Cup, but they didn't win the series.
Furthermore, Dynasty, XSV and the Russians sometimes played Open until they were later invited into the NXL teams.
