lol. major money.
One thing about paintball. If you don't has god powarz like Ollie lang, you will not be making "Major Money"...
At least not in the next 10 or 15 years...
The matter of the fact is, otherwise, that paintball is mainly for kicks. You play to enjoy. Tournaments are to let you test your skills and make comrades with other people so you can come and play more often. It's smart, and I love it. That's why I'm still playing.
I totally see what you;re getting at echmo. I can't stand new guns, they're too light for me. There's like no substance, I feel that if I accidentally let it alone, it may begin to float away :/
'Tis why I love angels and shockers so. And by all means, they're damn light guns for my standards...
When selecting a gun, you need to know that you can't get everything you want out of it, so you have to make a "top 3" list.
Like my top 3 is this:
Aesthetics are very important to me as well, which is why I buy matching colored guns and only keep Private Label milled markers, so they can be nice and unique and refreshing to look at/use.
Also: If you want a smooth and light MECHANICAL gun. I can offer these two.
There's a guy on here "hill160881" (http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?t=3647839
) who made this super simple efficiency mod for mags, which really puts them up in the super-highend mech zone if you ask me.
Pick up a vertical feed mag of some sort, like one with RT and a ULE body and send it to Hill for the modification and bam. You have a rippingly sweet and efficient mag. Super lightweight, super small and lowkey, and they shoot SUPER smooth.
Oh man, and if you found a Titanium Hurricane valve.... O_O
A simple way to go is this, though:
Maddmann rocket valve for spyders -or- 11/16ths
maddmann spyder spring set
That's a good shooter for like.. what? $118?
Drop a Lurker Eigenbarrel ($42 shipped) on that (www.lurkerpaintball.com
) and maybe even a nice regulator like a Bob Long Torpedo ($25 used, probably the... 5th best regulator you can possibly find on the used market)
Woah. Under $200 for a sweet shooting mech gun. BTW, with the springs, it's medium valve spring paired with a light mainspring.
