Four Hondo's.
Jack Wood said other black will be the main color for a couple of months and then other colors schemes should come out.

Man, I hate that term, lol.
But, yes, it does have PSP ramping with a 1 second reset (ie. "3-shot PSP").

Haven't shot one yet but I've held it and it feels like a very small geo. Doesn't operate the same way but it actually feels like a very solid gun. Not at all like an ion or gen1 pmr, even with the composite grip frame. Feels like a true planet eclipse gun similar to a geo or ego. I have a g3 and I actually like the frame on the etha a lot better, very ergonomic and light with a super small profile. I'll be interested to see how it handles brittle paint if the operating pressure is as high as people are saying. Definitely want to try before I buy, but with the soft tip bolt system it seems like it could be a good backup gun.

Hi,
Just want to clarify a point:
Operating pressure, as in the pressure that the inline reg is set to, has NOTHING to do with how a gun handles brittle paint.
The pressure that the inline reg operates at is NOT the same as the pressure that the ball sees as it is being fired. The pressure of the air directly behind the ball is the determining factor in if the paint gets blown apart or not. The Etha operates at a breech pressure (pressure behind the ball) within the range of other Eclipse guns.
Handling brittle and fragile paint is generally down to how the balls are handled in the stack, how the bolt approaches the ball in the breech, and how the bolt interacts with the ball directly above the breech as it fires the ball in the breech.
Jack

Probably also worth mentioning at this point that the fact that the Etha has no LPR does not mean that the bolt cycles with excessive speed or force. Force will be altered by the area of the bolt that the gas pressure acts upon, and so you can reduce the force on the bolt through the design of the cycling system.

are the poppet and the bolt already matched for weight? or is that a potential mod/upgrade later? with both the moving parts reciprocating against each other, I bet this thing is smooth as hell once it breaks in....

I like your thinking, but not really feasible I don't think.
Not weighed the components, but I doubt that they are matched.
However, the biggest issue here I would think is that the shaft has to move before the bolt will, and the bolt has to move further than the shaft does, so I don't think you'll ever have a fully balanced reciprocating motion.
Not to say that you couldn't take these differences in to account, but I don't know if any attempt has been done to do that. That would be a question for Jack to answer.

I don't think it matters that much anyways. Just an assumption, but I would think that the majority of the "kick" is going to be caused by the inverse force of propelling the ball. ie. Think about how little "kick" a gun has while dry firing.

Ok but how is it on air? How many pods do you think you will go through on a tank full?

I've been getting 1000 shots from a 68CI tank filled to around 4300psi, with around 1100psi left over. I can then get another 300 shots before velocity drop becomes too great.
This is with the stock 0.693 barrel and entirely stock settings - no tuning has been carried out.

This thread is for xluben's (Ben) pictures, details, videos, etc. of the Etha. It is not an "Etha Picture/Video thread". Besides, Ben's work outdoes everybody else's hence why it is "stickied".
