Unhappy Nt10 back cap screw stripped, stuck on :(

Hey guys, my solenoid is shot and my shop was going to put a new one in for me, but when they tried to take apart the gun to make sure they couldnt because they cant get the back cap off, the screw is stripped. Or the purge hole whatever it is. I need my gun before cup very badly, any ideas on what to do? thanks guys.

send it to DYE to have them fix it or call DYE to get a replacement cap

Go to a auto parts store and buy a ez out screw extractor.

If your problem is only the solenoid, forget the bolt/back cap as is and only do the solenoid change.

Yeah you dont need to take the back cap off to change the solenoid....and I have no idea how the back cap got stripped. Its nearly impossible to do that.

To get the back cap off i would suggest removing the 3 screws that hold the outer part. Then get a piece of metal, drill 3 holes that line up with the screws removed. Screw the metal piece in place and unscrew the bolt assembly.
A simpler but not as "safe" solution is to do the first part, then screw in 2 of the screws and put something flat and long between and unscrew. Or even a adjustable wrench tightend over the screw heads. Make sure that the screws are far enoug in that you wont bend them, but far enough out so that the selected tool wont slip.
