D1 Rumors from Pro Paintball
ProPaintball
Most relevant to New England:
upTon 187 and Top Gun D1 are debating a move to Pro or Semi pro in 2012. ProPaintball insiders tell us that they will compete in whatever division the other team agrees on so that they have the opportunity to practice against another equally ranked team throughout the 2012 season.
upTon 187′s Dan Zaleski is rumored to have torn his MCL and won’t be able to compete at cup.
Thomas Mantoni from New England Hurricanes may not be making it to World Cup due to other commitments.

It was also in the ProPaintball report that TKO has broken up, with some of the players joining RNT for a "last hurrah". I have no insight into this, but it would seem a shame (and an unlikely one) for Florida to lose such a prominent team and group of players. Where will they go?
If it is true, it reinforces the point that it is team owners that make teams, not groups of players. The PSP a few years ago cut down rosters with (I was led to believe, I could be wrong) the idea that the leftover players would form teams and enter events. You could have 500 players in New England who wanted to play national events, but without Dave Painters, Dave Archibalds and Tom Briertons, it may not equate to any teams.
Ron, you still read this? Any comments?

^ It's not just TKO. I imagine that's what happened to the other Florida organizations FIERCE & Palm Beach Vipers. And for that matter, HuSTLe, DBS, CDR... That's getting a little off topic, though.
Back on topic... Why would it matter if 187 and TopGun were in the same division? I don't see why that would have any impact on them practicing each other.

CDR is still around. They just play 7man under "Seattle Siege" now.
DBS guys are still alive and kicking... Some of them are playing Cup with me, and most are up here playing CXBL with Vancouver.
However, as a complete team, both seem to have faded away.
