No way bro
The avengers was really about fighting capitalism/socialism
Loki was a communist who wanted to rule like a dictator, strip the humans of their freedom, and create an elite class that controlled the masses (Loki and his alien cohorts).
The Avengers were a rag tag group of red-blooded conservatives, capitalists, and tea party members out to defend and avenge the world.
Tony Stark: Play boy billionaire capitalist. Angered at the inefficiencies of the government by saying something like "when 'intelligence' leaves out intelligence, that is a problem".
Captain America: Obviously a conservative with strong moral values. Though I am not a social conservative, we here Captain America say something to the effect of "There is only one god - and I am pretty sure he doesn't dress like that".
Thor: Powerful man who believed his role was to defend earth. He did not try to enforce universal healthcare, social security, welfare, but told Loki adamantly that Earth was under his protection. Pretty much what the governments role should be.
Hulk: Represents the average american conservative, morally good and wants to help people, but try to hurt them or their interests, they become all powerful.
