Comic books constantly retcon ****. Don't see why comic book movies should be any different.

Loki is a trickster, look the name up in lore and you'll see the name associated with it.
In the Thor film and comics there are other ways Thor can get to Earth or the other realms, Loki knows of them.

Just watched this movie online. Was outstanding if you've liked all the Marvel movies so far.
Each character has plenty of balanced screen time and there are plenty of pieces of humor that intervene within the action.
Nods to the comics are well placed and nothing is corny or cheesy like I felt it was in Captain America (then again that's sort of what they were going for in that one)
I thought it was awesome, and I'm anxious to see how it plays out with the next 2 and Iron Man 3. If you liked the previous Marvel movies with these characters, watch this one. You won't be sorry.
8.75/10

I watch all my movies on Sunday nights. Still a crowd, but most of the screaming kids are thinned out.
I was heavily debating a midnight relase on the and TDKR.

Anyway, my wife and I go to the AMC theaters in the morning. They have 6 dollar tickets if the show starts before 11:55am

This.
Once again, RD Jr. steals the show with one liners and just pure awesomeness.
I'm going to give my money to see this one where it should be properly viewed, IMAX.
Best super hero movie thus far.

I just wanted to hug bruce the whole time gais. One of the last scenes where the hulk made stark wake up made me lol which is nearly impossible at the movies. To me the biggest let down was captain America. Don't know why, I just didn't feel as 'attached' to him as I did with Hawkeye, Thor, Stark, and Banner. If I had to rate the movie i'd give it a an 8/10. I liked Loki more in this movie than in Thor. Downy jr was amazing as usual. Almost made me bawww at the end. Still havn't gone to sleep. Will revise and edit later
edit1- This movie had the perfect balence of seriousness and comedy.

x2. And I dig how they didn't single out any one character as a "#1" guy....they all had the spotlight and all made your jaw drop at least once. Well balanced, incredibly entertaining film. I saw it in IMAX 3D, which was just awesome....considering going back and seeing it again. Only movies I've ever done that for were BB and TDK.

I disagree, I think they went a bit overboard on the comedy.

sorry, but you're trying to put reality to the comics. that's your first mistake. the second is trying to understand them, instead of just enjoy them.

Joss Whedon finally has the hit he needs.
Saw the midnight show, and was loving every moment of it. It's the first time The Hulk made me not want to cringe, and honestly he completely stole the show.
Mark also rocked it as the best Bruce Banner, yet.
Great mix of humor, action, and as much story as you'll get from one of these.
Make sure you stay for the WHOLE credits. There's 2 different pieces to it (one about 90 seconds in, and one as they completely finish).
