So I recently found out a way to restore the jt "clear" masks back to original "icy
color instead of the yellowing
from all the stains and years of use. I'll post a picture of what mine look like now below and a frame I am restoring at the moment. As you can se I pulled the foam off of it to get a better result and to just see pretty much if the chemicals affect the frame as a whole.
I've just ordered a large quantity of the chemicals used to restore them and ordered a few yellowed frames and bottoms from various people in the BST~Mask section.
I'm thinking of doing a how-to on it and maybe offering a service to have people send in their masks and have me do it myself. Basically you pay shipping and for the price of chemicals and a bit for my troubles.
What do you guys think? The bottoms are coming out really well but the frames are proving to be a bit more challenging. Anyway here are my current results below. I really wish I had a before picture...
