help with nxt virtue redefined!

ive read the manual but im more of a visual learning type person. ive set it to psp but the gun still wont fire even with a ball in the chamber. i hear the solenoid clicking but the bolt doesnt move. the grip is flashing red and the power button is a slow flashing (not flickering) blue. i think the eyes are either dirty or not working?

any suggestions are welcome!

You've made a point of saying that the power button light is slow flashing, not flickering - how about the red light? Flash or flicker? If you tap the power button, what happens to the light patterns then? Is it definitely the solenoid you hear clicking, or could it be the microswitch?

Try a fresh battery.
Make sure that the trigger is definitely depressing and releasing the microswitch with each pull and release.
Check that your dwell is high enough.
Check that the eyes are clean, undamaged and working.
Make sure that the eye ribbon tail is plugged in to the upper board the right way up.
Check the sides of the upper board for screw damage.
Make sure that there are no loose or broken wires in the harness.
Check that there are no bent or brokrn pins in the harness sockets.

great suggestions thanks. did all those and found out it was actually the back cap (hybrid after market) that was allowing the bolt to slide too far back instead of into position. cleaned and lubed bolt and everything is kosher just gotta get a new back cap. i fired it on ramping and uh...beastmode. thx all
