Kind of an invalid point to bring up, really, considering that's been going on for way longer than the G6R's been around. You don't even know what functions are on the new board, so commenting on "branding instead of function" is a little premature at this point. Take for example, the Marq line. The stock board was fine, but programming a tadao bard via a trigger, rather than dip switches was worth the money to upgrade IMO.
