Question Correct me if I'm wrong but..

At some point 6-7 years ago didn't the members of HK Army define themselves as anti-industry individuals who didnt give a **** and just played for the love of the game?

Now HK is selling shoes, harnesses and every apparel under the sun just like any other paintball brand becuase they realized it was extreamly lucrative.

I'm not saying theres anything wrong with a little capltalism in paintball..just that it seems that at some pint (apparently a long time ago) HK was cool becuase they were NOT a brand..they were just a group of friends who loved to play paintball and party blah blah blah.

It's sad to see the rebels of paintball sellout so much for money..since thats the one thing they said they were always against.

I honestly wish the really old HK army website was still around. The one where it just simply said what they stood for and then a link to a list of names.

I guess just like anything else in life, ideology easily folds when there's money to be made.

Discuss if ya want, I dont really care.

But not done by an ignorant, random person. Tim's Timmy was an HK Affiliate back in the days when the only way to get an HK sticker or headband was knowing someone.

The phrase 'OG' was mentioned twice in this thread, one of which was typed by you so the Compton reference seems a little forced...

Regardless, my rant (yes it was a rant, I'm not going to deny that) came as a result of propaintball.com posting an article about another new HK Army product that they got a sneak peek at while they were at HK's warehouse.

My only point is that I find it funny that the kids who once banded together against the monetary gains of paintball now have a production facility so large that other websites post about it when they get a tour of it.

Like I said originally, i'm all for people making money from the sport we all love, I just find it ironic that it's HK that's cashing in. It's just very contradictory from their original mission statement.

Like someone said above..everyone sells out at some point. That is very true, I guess I just never thought it would be the HK army.

/ thread.

Timmy- To what your saying, yes it s very unfortunate, but sadly thats the way life is most of the time. The New HK isn't all bad to me, the video's cassidy is making for them are definitely some of the better ones out there. But I do miss the old Hostile Kids as well.

I don't get how this is a bad thing. You turn an idea into something underground and then move onward and upward. Its a business that started from a garage making shirts , stickers and board modifications. Flash forward to today the boys have a warehouse and a thriving business years later. It's how allot of companies are founded and started. I don't see what the problem is quite honestly. I don't think they sold out at all, people uninformed seem to throw that term out when their exclusive group or thing become popular. You have to start from somewhere. Correct me if I'm wrong but the boys still just play for the love of the game and enjoyment of it, as do I from time to time. Its progression, how would you like HK to be then?
