Search for them on the nation...You will find them. The older style with the longer inserts is the one to get. They come in a larger case than the new, shorter version. The older style is superb!

I like how this thread refuses to die.

Yeah your best bet for finding an old style scepter kit is to search forums and maybe ebay. But given their rarity and the fact they were such good quality you'll have a hard time tracking down a seller. I really regret selling my kit 8 years ago now. It is sad that I just said 8 years ago as well...

Used the new kit now for about a month its ball on ball as long as you bore correctly even with ****ty whitebox its still ball on ball only downside my colors dont match my gun lol oh well

They're really good barrels. I bought my first kit at WC in '02. I like how the front clamped the insert down when you screwed it together. Mine came in a black zipper pouch/baggie with I believe 3 inserts but you could get 5. The back had a window milled in it so you could see the insert size and color. I'm glad I kept mine all these years now.

Yeah, my 13 year old son has me back at the field. I didn't want to push him on my sport but he's trying to get all his friends involved. Things have changed so much.

No kidding... 13 year old, wow.. I feel old... I just moved up to the 40/42 area so I stopped by Black River... didn't know a single person.
