Demon leak

Today my demon was aired , chronod and put on a table ... about 5 minutes later it started leaking heavily between the frame and the body.

At home i took it apart and relubed (drivetrain first ... leak remained)

I then relubed and checked every o-ring in the marker (cept reg)
the leak still remains.

I think its leaking from the little transfer pipe that comes from the handle. I found blown away lube there. I switched and lubed the o-rings , but no luck.

any ideas / help from the smart tech people?

Check the hpr piston to see if the little black reg seat fell off? This will make it leak heavily between the trigger frame.

If that is not the issue is it leaking more twords the rear frame screw?

will check that. As a test i closed the hpr all the way , and the leak was still there ...

the leak is to the rear as you say.

Edit : checked the reg seat rings ... swopped and lubed for good meassure ... no change.

If u closed the hpr and the leak still remains the reg seat is bad or missing.
just a question are you familiar with what the reseat is?
Maybe little later you can call my office and we can speak and walk you through the issue.

The reg seat is not an oring. I will post a pic of it so you know what im speaking about

Piston on left missing reg seat at the top.
Piston on right has reg seat in at top.
The reg seat is a small black hard rubber cup.
If you are missing this it will leak alot of air and not alow you to close off air to hpr.

thanks shootnpoo. I will check for the little seat. I posted this late last night ... so not too focused. (south african time ... main reason im not phoning hehe.) I checked the oring on the piston , but not the seat ... stupid of me sorry.

Just to clarify or give more detail.

If i have the hpr open a little and very slowly turn on the asa air there is no leak until the hpr is "charged". As soon as the air gets full or reaches its pressure the leak starts and it sounds and feels like its very near the back.

i will check the seat thing as soon as i get home ... i hope its that as that sounds easy to fix.

Yes it is. If not lmk as their is 1 other oring that is bad if leak does not go away.

I checked the reg seat and its still on /in pretty tight. so bad luck to me i guess hehe.

mine has a circular indent ... cant see if the one in the pic does.

Ok, you need to swap out the rear manifold oring. I will take. Pic for you on which one is bad.

ok i think i found it ... but cant fix it.
The 3x1 o-ring on the manifold (right in front of the bottom gasket). Should it have metal/aluminum all around it?

mine is missing a tiny little bit towards the front of the gun. Like it was machined too thin and forced out by pressure.

i put a gunk of lube there to check for air blowing through and it blows it clean ... so could i be right here?

We have not seen a 3x1regular oring blow yet or the machining on any of the ports of the 3x1 as of yet. But its poss that the oring was pinched. You stated it was twords the very back which is the 8x1. I have seen these blow if manifold wasnt installed and tightened all the way. My next oring was for you to replace was the 8x1weight as it's happened a few times. The 3x1oring would not leak heavily if it was pinched. I dought it wasn't something missed during build as all markers are tested.
My prognosis would be the 8x1.

If you cant find one or thr 3x1 please let us know.

The o-ring seems intact ... a small piece of metal was loose and hanging by a little bit on the metal itself.

i did say it was towards the back , but i think its more over the trigger. Sorry for the confusion. i did all the things you asked and so tried to be more precise in my positionings.

I changed the 8x1 oring as asked ... leak remains.

My 3x1 oring isnt pinched , its being pushed through the gap in the manifold and then i guess not sealing.

Could i have a manifold that had a weak bit if metal?
