Thanks smartsparts. I did read the stickies and I'm not look for some miracle pill to make me lose weight. More something to naturally help my metabolism. Before I started trying to get back into shape I was averaging 3000 calories a day with minimal activity. Since then I've cut down to between 1600-1800 and working out two hours a day 5 days a week.
As for iizmatts I was just explaining what I'm trying to do. No need to flip ****.
And pump I do have the will power. If I didn't I wouldn't have lost the 15 lbs I've lost so far.
In the future I'll try and avoid seeking help from this sub forum

High protein, moderate fat, low carb. All protein from diet, only supps will be creatine and maybe BCAA.

How long did it take you to lose the 15lbs with the methods you described? Has the weight loss tapered off yet?

i think the main problem with the keeping the weight off is once the person reaches their goal, they become more relaxed about their nutrition & working out
solution : make another goal, even if its small time like lose another 5lbs

Nice job, SW! You'll have to let us know, but I'm sure you planned on it.
JewFro - Yeah... the hard work definitely isn't over once a goal is reached. Most people think "oh I'll just diet until I reach my goal." Some never completely understand that they are supposed to be making new habits, a new lifestyle... one that shouldn't be temporary if they want to be able to live the success they have achieved.

yep two things i try to explain to everyone that asks me about advice on weightloss/musclebuilding/gettingintoshape
1) i am not on a diet, i just choose to live a healthier lifestyle than most
2) this is a marathon, not a sprint. it will take time, and it will take effort, but combined you wont go wrong

took about 2 weeks, and most of that is just from change of diet. just started working out about week and a half or so.

Holy buckets, what was your starting weight? Then again, if you've decreased your intake by 1200-1400, it makes sense, I suppose.

I'm pretty sure that cutting out the sodas helped me drop weight too.
Related: how did you get into the habit of working out? I do it occasionally, but I usually have to keep reminding myself, and I'm trying to turn it into a habit and something that just comes naturally into my day, not something I have to actually try to remember to do?
