XE feedneck mods

Is it possible to mod the XE breech/firing can to accept a feedneck like the regular ion does? i want to have the BOB like the XE but want to use my rare 05 Powerlyte body.

Im not sure the outside diameter of the XE breech and firing can apd the same as the the original ion. so maybe the XE breech will fit in the PL body or not. Also you would have to cut the rear of the PL body off then tap/thread the breech of the XE for the impulse threads. It sounds doable but Idk.

Everything fit, everything lines up fine as far as the XE internals in the powerlyte body. Just the feedneck issue.

I'm surprised... The XE breech and firing can have a slightly larger diameter than the old Ions. I would say be very careful. What seems like a perfect fit may only be fractions of an inch off, but those fractions of an inch still matter.

I may end up just using regular ion breech/firing can/donut/feedneck but damn the BOB would be nice. I just cant bring myself to use the horrendous XE body.

heres everything mocked up using the powerlyte body and XE internals. everything but the board and ASA is on.

i stripped all the old anno off last night for a new anno job.

It actually looks pretty sweet man Iv noticed myself the feedneck hole on the XE breech looks slightly larger than an original one. do you have two to compare? If they are the same then make the treads and go. But your would have to figure out what size they are and where to get a tap that size

this is gonna be the hold back.
