Tough, you don't know the meaning of tough
till you've been a member of the 1st Infantry
Division, 238th Combat Engineers or the 2nd
Armor's swimming Sherman tank unit. Here's
a brief view of these three units working to
together to take Omaha Beach this past June
in record time.
Looking for non stop action, join one of these
hard fighting units next June for the 15th
Annual Oklahoma D-Day Event.
Sincerely,

D-Day Adventure Park stages two other major paintball
events each year, besides for D-Day. The next one on
their schedule is called Red Dawn. Unlike D-Day this is
strictly a two day event. If you're considering coming
to D-Day and you'd like to check things out, this would
be a good way to do it.
Here's a copy of the poster they put out with all the
details.

Glad to hear you had a blast and will now also
be attending D-Day as well.
Just a few notes about D-Day 2012 which are going
to change things there in a BIG way.
Starting next June points will be awarded for both the
Wed. and Thurs mini scenarios. Both sides will also be
required to field at least 100 players each day and if
that doesn't happen points will be deducted from their
score on Saturday.
In addition, the MAIN Event is also going begin on
Friday, not Saturday. These changes, will make what
was already a very complex one day event into an
even more complex two day struggle for the beaches
of Normandy.
These are just the most significant developments to
come from the Fall Staff Meeting. Look for more details
about next June's biggest D-Day ever as they become
available.
Sincerely,

Can you give me a run down on cost? I see that the entry is 80. But I kind of want to know what the paint prices are (I am assuming its not BYOP). And how expensive the area hotels are.
Thanks in advance.

In the past the paint has been offered in two grades.
Cost is somewhere around 65 for the cheaper grade
and 80 for Premium, but to be absolutely sure about
that it'd be a good idea to call the Bunker and verfiy
this year's prices.
The closest motels are in Neosho, MO and Miami, OK.
They all tend to fill up early, so do a Google search
and pick one. Cost at the Booneslick Lodge, in Neosho,
ran $55.00 a nite and that included access to a pool,
as well as waffles or briskets and gravy, with juice
and coffee.
Keep in mind, your entry fee also includes access to
their 100+ acre camping area. Each unit, be it either
Allied or German has their own designated camping
spot. There's also a limited number of RV hookup
sites which are available, plus two shower facilities.
The store's phone number is (918) 666-3411.

One of the things which makes D-Day so unique
are the number of realistic looking WW II Paint
ball guns you'll see being used there. Here'a a
short tribute clip by one of the guys responsible
for creating many of them.

The Headbangers are planning on making the trip out. More importantly, the 15th is my 23rd birthday. Can't think of many places I'd rather spend it at.
The three American Ranger units are the units that undergo everything that D-Day has and more. Most
of the players in these units have experienced many D-Days throughout the years and have a wealth
of knowledge that any paintball player can appreciate.
Players in this unit show their dedication by performing in the obstacle course, arriving on the field by
Wednesday morning, training throughout the week, and being in a majority of the mini-games (the 5th
Battalion will have a presence in all of the mini-games). Many units will describe what they do on D-Day,
the Rangers only know that they will be moved into the toughest fighting throughout the games. That's
because Rangers are the allied QRF (Quick Response Force) and are moved into the hot zones that the
Allied forces are having problems securing. We move in, we conquer and we move on.
Rangers do not stay in one zone to watch glory play out. We immediately move out when the area is secure
and let other units clean up and defend an area. This is a fighting unit and the only way to find out our
strategy, past accomplishments, or how to become the most elite players on the fields of OK D-Day is to
become a Ranger.
Rules of Rangers
1. Have a camelback of some kind (this is not negotiable,
if a player does not have one they will not play for the Rangers).
2. Have paintball experience. (This is not a unit for those who've played a few times or have never played at
all. We do have families in this unit, but the members of these families are all hardened players and know what
it takes
to play).
3. MUST be 15 years of age.
4. MUST be on field by Wednesday morning.
5. MUST run through the D-Day obstacle course.
6. MUST participate in all Ranger field training.
7. May not represent Rangers in a negative manner (Players will not slander against any paintball player publicly).
Players are players and we are all in the same family fighting for the same sport.
Please ask questions, please give comments, please
feel free to PM over information that should not be
out on the public forum.
If you register to the 5th Battalion PM me and I will
forward to you access the address to the private site
that the Battalion has.

Here's just a quick sample of the sort of intense
action you can expect to experience during D-Day.
This clip features members of the Manatoba, CA
unit, Baker Company, filmed during their recent
visit to D-Day Park for the Red Dawn V2 Mission.
To learn more about either the CEF or Baker Company,

As the first snow falls across the northern states and much
of Canada, our thoughts turn to memories of paintball wargames
past, and planning for future events! On our own end, Baker
Company is currently hosting a meeting to plan for Oklahoma
D-DAY 2012, the convoy down south, new game mechanics and
so much more.
Now is the time to start your next great adventure! JOIN THE COMMONWEALTH TODAY!!!
Last year I was being recruited by my 2011 captain and thought
to myself, "What difference does it make what unit I enlist in for
D-Day?"
I discovered it makes a huge difference which unit you serve with.
I found the concept of being a Quick Response Unit to be the most
exciting aspect of the day. I was intimidated at the beginning of
the week as the Rangers were the tip of the spear in all attacks.
But by Wednesday, after passing the obstacle course, and surviving
Ranger tactics training, that I really liked being at the front of the
attack. Paint flying everywhere, adrenaline pumping, my marker
singing like a finely tuned instrument as it threw ropes of paint;
I'm getting a rush just thinking about it. By Saturday, I understood
the power of the Ranger units because we are the most fearsome
fighting force on the field. I thought my recruiter was blowing smoke
about being the ELITE, but I now know he was speaking straight. I
know that the Germans have special forces, but we went up against
their best and won the battle. If you are a serious scenario player,
have good skills in the woods, like to play on the dangerous side,
willing to charge a bunker, take a hill, and then move on to the next
pace where needed; the Rangers are for you. If you are not willing
to get hit by a paintball, or run at a firing opponent, if you would
rather hunker in a bunker or hide in the woods, then the Rangers are
not for you. If you are a Ranger: You will get hit! You will sacrifice
for your team! You will have a great time! You will make great friends!
There is a reason our motto is: Rangers Lead the Way! If you join we
will tell you and you will experience it for yourself!
