quick Q, on page3 of this thread Krazy8 mentioned 3 drones came in and two were chrono'ing low, was it just because the HPR pressure wasn't set right from the factory or what was it that caused those 2 not to be set right compared to the third?
I would have assumed all 3 were tested before they were boxed and should have been set near the 280 mark, can sitting for a while in a box make that much difference?
"The Harder the World, The Fiercer the Honor."
I assume chrono'ing low because the HPR was low. My Drone DX came so low a chrono wouldn't read the speed. Turned it up and it was fine. I even checked with a pressure tester. 100psi is 285 fps with the stock barrel for me.
ok, thats good to know....just weird the reg would be low from the factory unless they are worried about the time between setting it and the first use would cause it to creep and overpressurize possibly.
Wouldn't(read wont) worry me when I get mine soon was just curious.
edit: new question for someone at macdev, if someone has a drone now in a std color, can it be sent in to have the militia 2.0 engraving done, because that is some of the best lasering I have seen.
Just played with my fresh-outta-da-box DX! Put about 1000 rounds through it and so far...love it.
Had a little bolt stick and FSDO on my first hopper...low 40s today. The FIRST shot didn't even cycle until I gave the inline a 1/4 turn to up the velocity. Before the increase in pressure I was feeling a small amount of air escaping through the barrel/grip and I could see the bolt tip down the feedneck. I was worried something was wrong...
Got home and noticed that the lube was very very thick all over the drivetrain. Wiped it down and applied MUCH more sparingly. I'll change the battery before my next day and see if the sticking persists. I really don't want to play with the dwell or anti-stick at all before I get a good amount of paint through it right?
Also, when I tried to screw in my barrel the first time it was a little tight but did not find resistance when I reset the threads and tried for a second time...interesting. No problems with the ASA threading or when I tried my Dye UL.
Thank you MacDev for a wonderful machine. I look forward to getting to know her.
PS- Where can I pick up on of those inline reg pressure checkers that Boomer was using in his vids? Would love to pick one of those up before my next day of play.

Hey, your problem is a bit hard to diagnose and in some way's it doesn't make sense.
Did you use google translate ? I'll try to translate it from frenlish to a complete story, please correct me where I'm wrong:
Yesterday I was testing my drone-dx, but when it started raining the marker stoped working, it shot 1 or 2 shots (balls went about 30cm/12 inch ) and then nothing. The led in the triggerframe is blinking yellow.
1. I did regular maintenance on the bolt and an O-ring check.
2. I checked my hopper (a dye rotor).
3. I think the flashing yellow led is an error.
I'll check the inline regulator and asa tonight.
I'm working on my thinking and I'm thinking it's improving.
The blinking yellow LED is an error on the electronics board - low battery. Dry the board out if it got wet, then change the battery to a new, fresh battery, being careful to install it with the + to the right and the - to the left. That may fix the issue.
