Absolutely it will fit. POPS ASA's are my favorite. I'm not overly fond of twist on/off, but everyone makes them so it's about all there is except the few cams, levers and the POPS.

LOL...How smooth do you want this thing to shoot? Isn't perfection good enough? The Drone will probably never get a bolt like the Clone has. I haven't seen anything.
Hopefully I'll have my Drone in a couple of weeks at most.

you can always pay to have them fix it, whether the labor and parts are free is what hinges on still being covered under the warranty.

I have had my Drone DX for a little over a week now and got to use it in real play this past Sunday. It's pretty new so it needs to be broken in. Otherwise, it is a nice gun. If I didn't need to test a PMR I just fixed, I would have shot it all day. The only adjustments I have made is the velocity was running 250 and I had to turn it up a little. After shooting it for a few hours, I adjusted the trigger to make the pull a little shorter and lighter. That was purely preference as it shot perfectly otherwise. I had no problems with FSDO or velocity problems of any kind. It was ball on ball every shot.
OK to the real question...
I pulled out my board to try to find any indication of what is the correct orientation. There is no indication that I saw on the board what the correct orientation is. Since the gun came with a macdev battery installed, I turned it on and tested the solenoid to confirm operation. I then made a label with "+ -" on it and stuck in on top of the capacitor which is just above the battery clips. At least that way I will know what the correct orientation is. Next I looked for some sort of protection diode so you can't get power to the board and didn't find anything. I will look again, but my cursory search revealed nothing. The capacitor mentioned in an earlier post was possibly weak to begin with if it blew immediately, but electrolytic capacitors are NOT supposed to be connected backwards. I have been an electronics hobbyist most of my life and have blown up a few caps by connecting them backwards. They will last a little while depending on how much voltage they are rated for, but eventually they will blow. A single diode added to the board would have completely eliminated the possibility of a blown cap. 4 diodes connected in the right way would make it impossible to install the battery backwards as it would work either way. There would literally be no backwards.
To fix the problem would require some re-engineering of the board so it would work on a lower voltage. As it stands if you add protection diodes the board is going to think the battery is too low to operate the gun. Just put a small label on top of the capacitor so you know which way is the correct orientation.
OK Maccev...
One solid MEH! for not making this more fool proof. The components needed would have added a couple of cents to the cost of the board. Or how about a sticker on top of the cap showing proper battery orientation.

Positive is on the right, neg. is on the left with the left grip panel off. The markings on the left side of the board are partially hidden by the capacitor, but they're there.

Thinking about getting a drone. I know I'll need the Clone grips, but does the oled module just simply plug into the board?

No. There is no ability for the Drone board to accept an oled display.
If you want your Drone to have an oled display then you will need to purchase a complete Clone board and replace the Drone borad with it.
Simple proceedure...a few plugs and screws and you are done.
Does not change the performance in any way....just makes it a bit easier to program the settings if you are into that kinda stuff.

Well....if you do not have the ability to repair the problem yourself then yes.
But quite honestly the Drone is simple in operation. There is very little to actually go wrong or break.
Add air and paint then shoot. Repeat many times.
After a couple cases of paint remove the Drivetrain wipe it down and relube lightly.
About every four to five cases of paint...remove the Gladiator internals, wipe down and lightly relube.
If you follow that pattern you will have many happy cycles befor you need to worry about repairs.

You will need to go into more detail on what threads you are talking about.

Do you guys know if a Guerrila air Myth G2 reg can be used with the drone? I was thinking about getting the Draxxus 68/45 with Myth G2 reg, and just wanted to make sure it would fit.

Yes it will. The ASA is adujustable to accomidate the short reg and the Drone operates around 100 psi so your bases are covered.
